    I would get a trencher and trench to the house and tie in to the house line. Probably your best bet so nobody finds out about your floor drains in the garage. Probably your less expensive option also as you dont have to build a pump station or treatment station of any kind.

    All lumber and sheating is slightly undersized. You cant buy 3/8 1/2 3/4 it is going to be undersized about a 1/32. You would use the 1/2 " clips as the 15/32 is only a 1/32 under a 1/2"

    If you want a large pit in the garage then make it. if down the road you are worried about it when selling the home fill it with dirt and cap it with concrete and repaint the floor and nobody will ever know it was there but you.

    Looks unsafe to me if your depending on the hydraulic cylinders to fully support the weight. Once more people see it I am sure they will feel the same way. Good idea but sure doesnt look very safe.

    I have just a cheapo Harbor Freight jack 3 ton I beleive and it works ok for occasianal use But if i had to use one for a living I would go with a Walker unit like my dad had in his shop.
