    Project Mark II

Sorry for taking so long to answer this. I don't have any more pics of the fiberglass install or details on the process (epoxy used, method, etc.). The bodyman that did the work did an excellent job but didn't document the process and sadly he is no longer around to ask questions.

Most of the rust was cutout and covered by the fiberglass quarters. The metal was cut and flanged, and the quarters riveted and then glued in with some kind of adhesive. A little bit was patched in the window channels but it wasn't as bad as I expected. VFN's fiberglass quarter panels are...

I just read all 7 parts of your Firefly build, very cool stuff  I had a GT ****** I thought would be cool with a RWD setup but lacked motivation to go past the idea stage.

Olds Cutlass pics So you didn't think I forgot about you, more pics as requested: From the barn to carwash to as you see it here. This was in 2009. Anybody ever seen a security system installed with a tubular "pop machine" key in the fender? Interior - black and in decent shape. The crust...

Thanks guys! I agree  I was just at the dealership! I had my eye on a used dually way out of my price range :willy_nil The wall between the two areas (splitting into 24' and 56' rooms) will be next. I have some ideas for a 12'x9' sliding door, but within the next year or two I want...

Thank you! Thanks! There are three main toys at the moment: 1979 Trans Am - I've already got it stripped down in the weeks that I've had a floor, and it's getting some love this winter and should be back on the road in June. A '98 Camaro is donating some interior parts and brakes. I've had...

The grand opening was a lot of fun. It scratched up the sealer, but it was worth it! I should try and post a video sometime. Also I received your PM. Thanks! I've decided to take a break from working "on" the building but it isn't done yet. Lots of plans for the future

That makes excellent sense. Some very thorough planning on your part. I saw the binder bins but didn't realize they have lights. Thanks for the explanation.

Finished product: That brings us to current. Now its time to work in the building, not on it, for a while :rocker: Waiting a week to bring all my stuff in may prove difficult. I have lots more pictures and can answer any questions. I hope you guys enjoy the pics and thanks for looking.

    Project Mark II

It's been too long since I've updated this. Time to get some updates knocked out. Earlier this year the trench was dug and a 200amp service was installed. I had a local electrician do the meter base upgrade and disconnect, and I did the rest. Future plans are for a 100amp sub panel inside the...

    Benchtop Camelback Drill Press Project

I did leave the table on. I'll have to look but for the # but I just grabbed some mild steel Tig filler rod. It didn't wet in well at all but I'm hoping it all the filler will mechanically lock into place. If it doesn't hold up I'm going to bolt a plate on top. Thanks! Larry, The...

    Benchtop Camelback Drill Press Project

I found some time today to tinker on this so out came the welder. The table wasn't the flattest to begin with so I just dressed it with a grinding disc then a flap disc. No patience for files... It's not the prettiest but it'll work.

Thanks for the replys fellas. I'll definitely work on the arc of shame. JoeFin - I've mig'd on castings before with some success. Your results are excellent with 5095 rod, I'll order some and give that a try.

I don't think I have any pics of the thrust bearings. They are just brass thrust washers on this one.
