:D HEY! you guys found me hiding over here... :lol_hitti Oh I wish I could have afforded the extra wall height... but just too costly... Maybe some day down the road, I may try and convert the ceiling to a cathedral one.... if that's even possible... :dunno:

I'm kinda thinking about trying to build a shed along the end of the one car garage for all the stuff I don't want in the garage... I'd like to do something like this... but along the exterior wall nestled between the HVAC compressor.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Thank you, Sir! I truly do miss flying... Lots of cool memories. And yes, my Step Dad went on an on about the different displays and signs that he had to stock and setup around the gas stations... He got a kick out of the glass jars for washer fluid... All good stuff.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Off topic: And from an aviators perspective at that... As a former Navy Helo Aircrewman/Rescue Swimmer... you get a very unique and unforgiving view if mother nature from the air... On topic: Thanks again for this awesome thread. I showed it to my Step Dad who worked at gas stations and...

Yep, I'm working with the builder on that right now. That was onod of those last minute, "ah ****" thoughts. :shocking: Will do, All I've got now are pics of the foundation form boards... turns out the permits are pulled just yet so I jumped the gun saying the concrete was getting poured...

Oh man... that Nova is Nice. Thanks for the pics... I'd like to have a drive through... But, I can't really afford it on the home loan.. We've pretty much maxed it out so I'm stuck. And, I can't have a privacy fence as our house backs up to a pond so I don't think they will let us...

update, We decided to go with the raised trey. They did it for about what it would cost to put a trey in a bedroom so that was pretty reasonable. The trey will be at least 9 X 18 X 2 And maybe a little more. It will be vertical and not a cathedral style recess... So now the waiting begins...

That would be cool. But not an option for this house.

That is basically the core of my dilemma... I can very easily see my self changing oil, clutches, Possibly transmissions (rarely) rotating tires, suspension, Differentials, Half shafts exhausts etc... But to lift the car, I'll have to move the tahoe, put the 4 post on casters and roll it to...

That is my one last remaining question to the builder... If it in fact is a vertical wall to the top of the trey, I'm really tempted... if it is an angled Trey that comes to a point in the center. I don't think it's worth it. :dunno:

 Yep... If don't ever log back on to GJ... I probably took a frying pan to the noggin... :willy_nil  OK so the update. It looks like they are willing to build the following Trey into the garage attic space. They want 5 feet of normal roof height at the sides and front of...
