    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Fas-Tel's 38x24

Sorry I was confusing the easement vs. setback. The left back corner is 6' and change off of the property line as required. The setback isn't that big of a deal for this structure so I was able to rotate it. The rear windows will be crank open but very high up so doubtful anyone will go to...

    Residential vs Commercial Meter

I have already begun excavation, with plumbing already done. I am now on to power and gas. Regarding power, the power tap is only around 10' behind my garage. It is over 70' to where my existing residential meter is located on the back of my house. We are adding the garage (100 amp) and a...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Fas-Tel's 38x24

After careful consideration, I modified the placement of the garage such that it would have a much easier approach angle. Thanks for the input! Attaching an updated diagram here. I left the footprint of the original angle visible. Should be much easier to work with.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Fas-Tel's 38x24

MagKarl: I wish I could do both! There is a township ordinance against residential garage doors taller than 8', and my subdivision prohibits car ports...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Fas-Tel's 38x24

If we moved the garage that far forward there would be about 10 feet between the house and garage. Also, both trees would have to come down. We were hoping to save one of them (for now). This garage isn't going to be used for parking of daily drivers. I have a couple of Mustangs that will...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Fas-Tel's 38x24

After a couple of years of planning I am finally ready to move forward with my build. Its may be a bit large for my lot, but I am within the rules and am making sure it looks like the house (including having a brick front fascia). The plan is to have 2 bays for vehicles with the remaining area...

    32x24 Build

Project is progressing. I have scheduled some builder interviews. Question 1: Could anyone recommend a reputable builder in Southeast Michigan for this project? I am in Western Wayne County. Question 2: I searched but could not find a consolidated list of questions to ask? I have some...

    32x24 Build

Initial Design is complete, attaching renderings here. Will be a 32x24, 12' ceilings on the first floor, attic trusses with a loft for storage/man cave upstairs. Open questions are: a) Where to put the bathroom? Options are (1) Downstairs tucked under stairs or (2) upstairs on the far end...

    32x24 or 36x22?

The doors will be on the 32' side grouped on the right, with a regular entry door on the left. Your question got me thinking about perhaps having the doors on the 24' end with the workshop in the back?

    32x24 or 36x22?

Long time lurker, first time posting. Looking for opinions on this, these are the largest sizes that I can go with in my township from a square footage perspective. My design includes 2 9x7 doors with the remaining space used as a man cave/workshop. I currently have one car to store with...
