You should change your name to supersleazy. Sad! But really, the stores don't clearance out certain items at different stores for you to try and pull this. It is retail fraud and a pretty scummy thing to do.

And if they try to come over to help you scan everything, kick them in the shin. That usually distracts them long enough to get a receipt and get out.

You would know, since you don't ever find anything.

Always scan the original barcode. Never scan the clearance sticker. In your case with it being so old things do drop out of the system and the "please see attendant" message pops up. This happens on some faucets and bath fans now.
