    Most machinist tools are in good shape,most of that are in two machinists chests,he was a tool and die maker at a company that stamped out body panels for the big car companies,he also worked in their train division as well.

    I'm not attached but his offer was so low,I literally could sell a tool or two on Craigslist and do better than what he offered. I did put up some shelves thinking I might go through them slowly and organize but it quickly filled up three shelving units 36" wide 18" deep. There's hardware also...

    The problem is I have my own 25 year collection of tools,I thought about making a set for my 12 year old son but he hasn't shown any mechanical interest and my tools are available to him. As far as my Dad goes,it's complicated by the fact I have my own tools.

    I did contact a reseller that posts in my area on Craigslist that he buys tools,Quite frankly his offer was borderline insulting,since then my Dad has given me even more stuff so I put up some metal shelves and tried to keep it off the garage floor and I'm starting to organize it.

    I've never sold on ebay and don't really have the time to photo,list and ship items.I do know that's probably your best price but I just don't think that's for me for alot of reasons.

    I disagree depending on intended use,mine gets used for pet hair around the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets and down my basement stairs inbetween real cleaning and it works great for that.
