I'm looking for a way to make a rounded, finished end on a wooden dowel rod. I can make them on my sander but it's quite time consuming. I found this set of doming planes on Japan Woodworker, but I can't seem to locate anything else. Anyone have any experience with making nice rounded ends?

After working in my half-assed shop for a year, I finally got around to some changes. I added 6 wall cabinets, and 80" of bench towards the door (freebie too). I also moved the receiver and built an acrylic cover for the laptop. Everything is finally starting to shape up.
