    Socket Organization

That looks great:thumbup: I may do something similar for some of my other tools as I already have the grip trays. I tried just using foam board but it didn't hold up so the wood should work better.

Estimated cost of moving garage forward, and adding a 'dirt room'?

I was thinking the same thing. You may not be able to build wider. looking at the plans he had in the first post makes me think there is something back there and it is probably a family room. If this is the case would you be able to section off 5 foot directly behind where the garage already...

    sound reducing sound in bedroom...

I looked into this a bit more and will probably go this route as it will take up less space. Also it will probably take 4 sheets so I'll probably go with the case of 12. Well said. I know the carpet should help a lot in addition to whatever else I do as it helped in the house we are in now...

    sound reducing sound in bedroom...

I think this will probably be the best way to do it seeing as more than one person suggested it. Its not real expensive and I can do it myself. Thanks everyone for the tips.

    sound reducing sound in bedroom...

I may use a combination of both. Thanks. Thanks for the tips. As for moving, my parents have the say in what house we pick and I know what type of houses we are looking at and know this could be a problem but I would rather deal with it before moving in along with the other repairs. Its not a...

    sound reducing sound in bedroom...

The sounds I am looking to block are TV noise and loud snoring. I'm picky when it comes to sleeping and I like it to be as quiet as possible.

    sound reducing sound in bedroom...

So we are moving into a new house and I am looking for whatever advice on reducing sound coming from the room right next to mine. There is pre-existing drywall so I am wondering what some options would be to reduce the sound as much as possible without spending a ton of money. My...

best way (and tools) to get tint off car windows

When I wanted to get the tint off the windows in my jeep I sprayed it down with windex, taped a garbage bag around the window and let it sit for 30-45 and then most of it peeled right off after using a scraper to start peeling the corner. This is why you aren't supposed to use windex on tint and...

    My Budget Tool Box Organization

yeah it may not be a perfect solution, but it will work for now especially because it was free to do. Thanks. Thanks. It makes it really easy to find what grit I need and keeps it from moving around taking up space in a drawer. This is actually what gave me the idea of using the binder...

Hansen vs. The New Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Pro Socket Trays

I'm thinking its just to make it that much easier and faster to find what your looking for. I bought some similar trays and thought they would all be red which is fine, but when I got blue ones as well, it does make it easier to grab what you need without much thought.

Hansen vs. The New Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Pro Socket Trays

yeah I also noticed that they only put out the metric set at the one I went to. The metrics were in the slot labeled for the actual metric and standard spot as well. I don't know why that is.

    My Budget Tool Box Organization

I didn't like just having all the sandpaper sitting in one drawer, because it was hard to find a certain grit. I decided to use and old binder and some extra heavy duty sheet covers to organize the loose sandpaper. I also put some masking tape on each and wrote what was in the sleeve to make it...

Hansen vs. The New Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Pro Socket Trays

After seeing these new ones, I wonder how close they are to the GRIP trays I got. They are similar in price and also look similar. I may have to stop by HF and get a set to compare the 2.

How to thank a great neighbor???

If you don't know them that well then you probably don't know if he drinks alcohol or not. I wouldn't do that or a fruit basket. I would say either offer up some gas money or have them over or take them a home cooked meal. Food usually works for everybody.

Craftsman foam drawer divider wrench racks

You could try the sort a tool tray from sears and use one just for standard. I did that and it allowed me to double up on popular sizes. I actually use two of these one for standard and one for metric

ScrewDriver holder for in drawer of toolchest

I have one of the ernst rails and also one from craftsman that also lets you take it out of the box to carry it around (I didnt need to carry it at all so I modified it a bit to work better for use in just the toolbox). you can find them here...

    Hassled for tip at HF

I would say no tip is necessary. The fact that you are shopping there is good enough. Plus most other places won't allow the employees to be tipped for loading things in customers cars as its part of their customer service. I know the lowes and home depot by me are like that.

Rock Solid/Citadel vs U-Coat-It and others

I don't think it matters if he does or doesn't work for them. It's the fact that legacy would call out someone else for something he does. I agree they have both contributed to other threads so it's not a big deal. But don't complain about someone else just because they believe in a different...
