Impact and Drill Combo - What's your choice?

Thank you! It is a hard decision! I was just eyeing the Milwaukee set. $70 greater cost than Makita... I will have to see what other tools are available in the m12 lineup as you mention.

Impact and Drill Combo - What's your choice?

Guys, The thought above about squeezing the impact into tight places is important to me! I looked at the 12v kits. I'm impressed by this guy, for half the price as mentioned above. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Makita-12-Volt-Max-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-LCT209W/202945283# Sent...

Impact and Drill Combo - What's your choice?

Thank you for the replies everyone! I'm still stuck between Makita and Bosch. I do like the 5 year coverage with Milwaukee though! I like the ability to add tools as needed with the LXT. Like I said, the circular saw would be a big asset as I get closer to remodeling the basement.

Impact and Drill Combo - What's your choice?

I am leary of Dewalt. I have been for a while. Most of our guys in the shop use them, and I use the communal 20v dewalt regularly. They seem to always be ready to go. I do not, however, want to struggle with batteries or wobbly chucks.

Generators - Switch Or No Switch?

It is attached. Generator would always be outside. Are there lockout devices for the main breaker? Cheaper alternative to a switch? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Impact and Drill Combo - What's your choice?

The two batteries and 15min charge time is tempting. I understand that at 1.5mah its not ideal for someone to use it all day every day. The batteries aren't designed for that. I think for my use it would be perfect. Everywhere I looked the Makita reviews seem to edge Milwaukee and Bosch, but not...

Generators - Switch Or No Switch?

Hi all, I live in city limits with underground lines, but the power fails occasionally. My parents have always had a generator in the garage. We had an outlet specific for the generator. It was wired the less ideal way, turn the main off and let it flow. I'm interested in a simple 3500w...

    Torque Wrench

Hi all, I'm interested in a 3/8" or 1/2" drive torque wrench. I don't want a cheap dial but the twist handle style is OK. Thanks. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Impact and Drill Combo - What's your choice?

I'm interested in a drill/impact combo. I will be doing everything from home improvement to full automotive. I have a corded 1\2" drive impact for the hard stuff but excited thinking of the time saving possibilities with a 1\4" cordless. I also would be using the combo for remodeling my...

Need Water Heater Recommendations - By Tomorrow

I wasn't trying to come off like I felt you had insinuated such. I was just expressing that I had done research into the rebranding aspect. From my research, AO Smith seems highly recommended and some of the other truly branded manufacturers are exclusive to licensed dealers/contractors...

Need Water Heater Recommendations - By Tomorrow

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I would like to be linked to your source for Emerson owning Whirlpool. Emerson has many business acquisitions but it absolutely does not include Whirlpool. The two are separate fortune 500 companies - whom have acquired many other busniesses/brands.

    A. O. Smith = American Water Heater, Whirpool(Lowe's), GSW, John Wood, American PROLine, U.S. Craftmaster, Maytag, State, Reliance, Penfield and Kenmore(Sears) Rheem-Ruud's/Richmond = GE I understand the idea of rebranding. I ended up with a 50 gallon, 40,000 BTU, 6 year Whirlpool 6th-sense...

Need Water Heater Recommendations - By Tomorrow

Thank you for all the replies! My apologies for missing details. Current is a 40 gallon natural has Ruud. I've never done an install myself, but my research turned up many reviews saying that a $335 6-year warranty Whirlpool 6th sense is very easy to install yourself. There are "sawtooth"...

Hi all, Went to the basement to discover my water heater had an major internal leak. Luckily there is a drain 12" from it. I'm looking at a Richmond/Rheem 4g60-40f. Whirlpool world HQ is just down the road but their units aren't rated that high. What do you recommend? Sent from my Nexus 7...
