The bluish low budget workshop..and maybe:) later the garage ..

Cool! I've used James gaskets since they first became available for Indians! My '44 chief has been ridden hard and a lot more than most old indians, but it's always been a quite dry motor.. I've done several tricks to keep the crankcase pressure down as well. I hope to start building the 1947...

Trying to get most of the house/ garage exterior done before the winter sets in again... Still a bit of painting left, but we are getting there. Some of the trim around windows and the corners of the house will probably be done next year. Hope to wire up some external LED lighting on the car...

The hone is more for bushings and rods I think. A friend is looking at buying a cylinder boring machine, so we may soon be selfsupported with regards to rebuilding motorcycle engines:) Luckily he also knows how to use the machines..I'm still learning:) The jeep sits in another garage in town...

.. trees.. are nice, but can also be a real pain... The driveway, cars and the garages have needles and leaves all over them...getting tired of this. We have been chopping down up some 60 trees in the area so far.. Planning to chop down more trees this autumn.. but some of the neighbours( the...

The house projects is still consuming all of my sparetime/ vacation, so the garage projects has mostly been standing still. But a while back I picked up an old hazet display which has been at my dad's business for at least 10 years. We picked it up at a long time tools/ agricultural shop not far...

I will check out the book you mention, I don't think I have seen it. The saddlebags are WW2 bags, used for indian and harley military bikes. I believe the set I have came from a vendor in Poland. They are smaller and doesn't fit as well as the '40-'53 civilian type saddlebags, but are more...

Yes the Indians are smoother than one would expect, even without the torque evener. Mostly because the 60-64% balancefactor of the crank I guess. I've ridden over 60k miles on footclutch indians, so I'm actually more used to the footclutch than the modern handclutch thing..:) The '47 is...

I just love the KTM ! For me, a modern bike had to be a v or L twin.. After riding Ducati's for a few years, I had to find something more comfortable and usable for our Norwegian roads. The KTM feels a lot like the Ducati, but with a first class offroad/ gravel chassis instead. It's not the...

Cool (museum) garage! Our cat loves to sneak around in the garage, but I doubt she would ever dare to jump up on the seat:) All the cats in the neighbourhood runs for their life when I fire up the bikes:) How do you like the torque evener/ cushion drive on that beautiful '46 chief ? I'm...

over 6 months since last update... and it has been the most hectic 6 months.. First we ripped out all the interior of the 2nd floor of the house, and then the outside siding went.. and then we made new footings for the house/workshop extension in one of the house corners and then we threw...

Here's one from Norway, at Grimsbu in the Rondane mountain area. Last weekend, my Indian parked up front. The gas station was built in '55-'56 I believe, and recently restored.

A short update: The inside/ outside window trim is about done, still need to cut the zigzag "endcover" to seal the outside siding to the window trim. Hope to get the roof tiles delivered in a week or two, been some delays since the tiles will be ordered with the materials for the delayed house...
