    Snap on MT1261A timing light

Someone emailed me a scanned copy of the manual, and the way it shows "SNAP ON" is correct when there is no signal. Therefore it must be something else. I buzzed out the wires and they are fine, and the coils measure resistance, so it could be something with the electronics inside the actual...

    Snap on MT1261A timing light

Thanks for the replies. I got this one with a complete roll cab and was intending on selling it on if it worked. I'll have a play around with the leads

    Snap on MT1261A timing light

I have got a MT1261A timing light in with a bunch of other stuff. I connected it up to a car and it was working fine, but then I pressed the flash button to turn off the strobe as I just wanted to look at the RPM reading. The light reset, and now it just scrolls "SNAP ON" the whole time unless...

    halfords tools

Maybe now, but I have had for 11 years or so , SP tools 1/2 sockets on rails (8 pt from 6mm to 32mm) and a 3/8 boxed socket set. They have taken a lot of abuse and I haven't managed to damage them. I did replace the 3/8 ratchet with a finer toothed one though

Self levelling on top of epoxy floor

The floor in my garage was painted a couple of years ago with 2k epoxy paint which is in good condition, but the floor wasn't smooth, so the surface is pretty bad and is difficult to keep clean (and hurts when kneeling) I'd like to use a self levelling compound on it and then repaint it, but...

Let's See Your Recent eBay Purchases!

Got this set of brand new elora 1/2 bits for £10 which I think was pretty cheap. The extensions (but not the U/J) have a hole for the detent ball to sit in instead of a groove, so they only hold together well in one orientation. What would the reason be for this?

    Snap on palm ratchet ball

Well the ball stayed in the recess when I removed the metal housing, it was only when I put it back in that it pinged out. I only have metric drills but a 2mm drill fits through the hole but a 2.5mm drill doesn't. I am guessing that the ball is a 3/32 as I would be amazed if Snap On didn't use...

    Snap on palm ratchet ball

I just got a like new snap on palmrat from ebay. It felt a bit dry, so I took it apart to clean it. Unfortunately I dropped the ball:sad: Are they a standard size that I will be able to get a replacement for - the rest of the mechanism is like new. Also what sort of oil should I use on it...

    Used tool places in London?

Ah one thing I forgot to mention- I think it is a little early in the year for boot sales. They tend to start at the beginning of May

    Used tool places in London?

The other place to look for boot sales is local papers in newsagents. Well all our local ones are advertised in here

They are the same type I have. Don't look at the price in screwfix......(screwfix state them as still being made in england) Screwfix also do the heavier duty version, which is stated for use with high viscosity materials Hello by the way :)

    American made tools...

I had 3 of them (the son of the PO of my house was a window fitter, and he left them in the garage). I snapped two of them whilst applying decorators caulk that was about 5degC - so now I bring the tubes indoors for 24hours before I want to use them They all had made in england on them, but...

Strange date code on F80 ratchet

Thanks for that, I am in the UK though so shipping is a killer. I do have a collegue who is on placement in the USA at the moment as is coming back in 6 weeks, so maybe I ought to ask him to put some tools in his container for me
