    new ryobi garage door opener

I'm not too crazy about all of those accessories but they might make sense if you only have one electrical outlet. I really like that battery backup and I've got a bunch of Ryobi batteries.

Door company wont install jackshaft opener?

I posted this recently on another thread concerning the Liftmaster cable tension monitor ............ Some guys have problems with the tension switch because there's a little slack in the cable when the door starts down and it trips the switch. Sometimes, raising the back of the tracks a...

Holy sh..... this dude is for real.

Look at the picture and you'll see a wingnut sticking up behind the top of the blade. That wingnut normally holds the guard in place. There's another saw like this right now on ebay. $40 with no guard...

    Finish Nailer 15g vs 16g

I agree with Toolfool. My 18 ga nailer gets the most work. I also like a pin nailer for small things.

    Primer paint

Another vote for shellac base primer. It dries fast so you can quickly do 2 coats. I wouldn't use it on the whole wall, just spot primer the stuff that would normally bleed through the paint. (marker, water stains, ink, etc.) Use a cheap throw-away brush.

    Oil Filter INSTALLER wrench

Try a rubber glove to improve your grip.

Holy sh..... this dude is for real.

I attended a safety seminar one day and the guy doing a powerpoint presentation had a habit of pointing at the screen. Half of his index finger and his thumb were missing.

Holy sh..... this dude is for real.

I have that same saw, with a guard. It's a 10". First miter saw I ever bought, probably 25 years ago and it still works just fine. It never had a very good motor brake and it takes an unusually long time for the blade to stop. Unless of course it's embedded in your head or arm.

    Paint too dark?

I like the blue. Maybe a medium or lighter gray stripe. If that is regular masking tape you're using for masking the stripe, you may have a problem when you pull it off. Try Frog tape.

Is this a Harbor Freight cabinet?

Yes, I use it indoors. I keep about 80 lbs of sand in it so it's not easy to move around. Zero dust. I run the shopvac (on that left port) whenever I use the sandblaster and that shopvac has a bag in it so I don't have to keep cleaning the filter. I bought the thing new so when I did the...

Is this a Harbor Freight cabinet?

It's an HF cabinet. I have one just like it. Connect your vac to that port on the left to **** air out and open the port in the back to let air in. If you have a lot of humidity where you live, keep both of the ports covered when you're not using it. It will help keep the moisture out of the sand.

    Affordable Step Drill Bit

I've been using the HF **** that you mentioned. They have worked well for several years. I didn't know they were **** until you told me. I guess I shouldn't be using them. I do have one made by Irwin. Funny thing is, whether I use the HF **** or the Irwin, the end result is the same. It's a hole.

    Why sell cheap ****?

The seller is "garagedoorcomponents" in Georgia. Looks like they sell just about anything garage door related in their ebay store. Good feedback too. It says they've sold 163 sets of rollers so far on this listing. It's hard to believe they sell these things for 20 bucks.

    Enclosed trailer flooring suggestions ?

Those 3/4" stall mats are VERY heavy duty. I don't think you could damage one if you tried. But they are also very heavy. Adding that much weight to a trailer may be an issue.

    Why sell cheap ****?

Well, getting back to the OP for a minute, I got a set of the rollers in question. They appear and feel like decent quality. It's not a space shuttle, it's a garage door. So I'll install them and like anything else, if they fail I won't buy them again and I'll let you know. If they work long...

    Liftmaster 8500 installation question

I suggest you DO NOT try to eliminate the cable tension monitor. You may regret it. Some guys have problems with the tension switch because there's a little slack in the cable when the door starts down and it trips the switch. Sometimes, raising the back of the tracks a little may help. But the...

    12 bar

Looks big so I was wondering about the weight. Checked a chart and there's no #12. Goes from 11 to 14. Maybe you have a rare collectible worth thousands of dollars. (or my chart is wrong)

    Enclosed trailer flooring suggestions ?

How about rubber mat? I had a 37' gooseneck racecar trailer and spent a small fortune covering the floor with aluminum diamondplate. I once pitted next to a guy that had a similar trailer that he used rubber matting on the floor, at less than 1/2 the cost of aluminum. Only downside was that it...

    Ryobi Garage Door Opener

Do you know what quit working, the tool or the batteries? I have several Ryobi 18v tools and none have completely quit yet. The oldest is a drill that's almost 20 years old. The old nicad batteries would only last me about 3 or 4 years but the lithiums seem much better. My oldest lithium is 9...
