Temporary storage for my shop equipment

I had a truck driver friend that knew where an unused box trailer was at. He drug it to my house and I piled it full while rebuilding from storm damage. The guy that owned the trailer charged me 100 bucks or so to use it for a couple months. It was kinda tough getting some of the heavy stuff up...

    another driveway replacing question

Well. It sounds like a good deal to me. While a previous poster is right that sub base is everything, you will be getting a substantial base with the 2.5 inch bottom lift. Around here its unheard of. No one would propose a multi lift 4.5 thick blacktop driveway for residential use. Do garbage...

    32nd's inch wrenches

I've always figured 3/8 and up are a set of wrenches and 11/32 on down are a different set.

    Vintage Tradesmen Drill Press?

I think those were sold by the traveling tool auction guys that set up at VFWs, KofC halls and the like. I had one for a while. It worked is the best thing I can say about it. I think they were $50.00 new 15 or 20 years ago. Gobs better than no drill press.

    They Quit Making It

I miss decent poison to rid me of the pests in my life. Especially flying ones like hornets. The stuff you get now I think drowns them before it does anything else.

    Shop floor drains and slope

I like the long trench drain down the middle. When you run out of 10mm sockets you'll know its time to clean it out.

What piece of equipment to move 550 yards of sandy soil?

Since you asked ill tell you my opinion of getting your good friends son involved. Bad idea. Around here $385 a day will get you about a 6000 pound excavator. One step up from a toy. I'm having a hard time visualizing what you're trying to do but assuming you're not just cutting a slot to put a...

    Jigsaw PorterCable or Bosch

Beware that Bosch JS260. It has a funky blade retention setup that will break if you move it without a blade in it. I just replaced the blade lifting arm in mine at a cost of about $40.00. If you buy it read carefully how the blade retention works. Its very delicate.
