    SBD's Update On Craftsman, DeWalt/Flexvolt

Ok, interesting, didn't catch that. Thanks for the info. Well, who knows, maybe they actually will re-establish themselves as a quality US tool manufacturing brand.

    SBD's Update On Craftsman, DeWalt/Flexvolt

Am I the only one who thinks $35 million isn't going to get you that big of a factory nowadays? Note that for both of these, they don't specify they will be built in the US/adding capacity in the US (unless I missed that somewhere). Not saying it won't happen, but they seem to be very carefully...

    Lista-What would you pay

Don’t worry about the casters unless you absolutely need them. At the end of the day, it’s still a Lista cabinet. You can just pull the casters off and use it like it was originally designed. As long as it wasn’t majorly screwed up by the casters, should be no problem to use it without casters...

    KRA vs KRL

This is a really good explanation of the differences. Does anyone know where the KRSC carts fall with their construction? Are the considered part of the heritage series? If not what would their specs be? See Spudland_Dave’s original post for the graphic.

I'm going to say it; snap-on is a rip off unless you plan to resell

You seem very a-noid with people who like snap-on.

    Dmm or clamp meter

If you’re willing to spend that kind of money, just go for the Fluke 87-V. Top of the line and should be able to handle just about anything you come across. I think you may mean the Fluke 88. That’s the automotive DMM from Fluke. Typically, most people would never need something able to handle...

    Show your new tool arrivals

Picked up a couple sets off Craigslist this week, an OXIRM707, and and OEXLM710, with trays. $180 for both. :rocker: Here’s the OXIRM set:

    Tool Box Spot Restore/Clean

Good to know. Any idea what the reason was? Just a cheap sticker? I’ll make sure to look out for that. Most of the stickers looked like they had decent separation from the box, a couple thinner ones looked like they could potentially be a pain. That would be pretty expensive if I got the paint...

    Tool Box Spot Restore/Clean

Ok, I’ll do that. When using snap on’s rattle cans do you still need to use primer? I think I’m going to try to get a can of their stuff to match the color and see if I can get away with just using one. Would I sand the rust, prime, sand the prime with a really fine grit for texture, then spray...

    Tool Box Spot Restore/Clean

I’m reaaaaaalllllly hoping to avoid option 3 in this case haha. I don’t have a great space to do anything like that, light painting and sanding is really what I’m limited to right now (I’m in an apartment). I think I’m aiming for something between 1 and 2. Are you saying the inside of the box...

    Tool Box Spot Restore/Clean

Tool Box Spot Restore/Clean I recently purchased a Snap-on KRA4107 (as far as I can tell). It unfortunately has some rust in a few places, and has some deep scratches in others. The previous owner wasn’t too gentle with it. The first thing I’m planning on doing is getting rid of all of those...

Rattle can painting a snapon toolbox?

Looks almost like a Proto box. I didn't even notice the mid-drawer pulls at first. As long as they're a pair of well-made boxes it shouldn't matter too much.
