    3.5:1 in the hubs.... 24:1 overall in the axles..... which is needed with 72" tires. i think i'm going to end up with somewhere around 4:1 in my transfer case, because i've got a stock motor.

    so, i bought some of these planetary axles for my mud truck..... but they're heavy with a low pinion.... so i decided to cut them apart and graft the knuckles out onto a 2.5 ton rockwell center section. originally the plan was to weld the cast knuckle onto the 2.5 ton housing. i tried...

    i bought a new tow rig and it doesn't have a ball in the bed. i priced a couple of htiches, but i think i can make one for cheaper. my dodge just has a piece of 3/4" x 6" flat bar across the frame rails and it seems to do just fine, so i ordered up a piece 41" long. and a 40k...
