Am I missing something between the two of these? Is one simply have the US General under the lid and the other doesn't? https://www.harborfreight.com/44-in-8-drawer-glossy-red-roller-cabinet-top-chest-62500.html...

    Stronger than JB Weld

I have tried twice now to use JB Weld and it keeps breaking. Im guessing Im asking to much of it. I am trying to secure a washer to a bolt then that to a hollow pole to create a pin. I dont really want to pay someone to tack weld it. I was hoping for a cheaper diy solution. It will have a small...

    Budget Micrometer

I didnt know if a simple one could be had, even regularly on ebay. When I say accurate btw Im saying .01 accurate, not .0001. I know some are very very precise therefore very expensive. As I stated Im always willing to drop some extra on USA made, ie over my budget. However on this tool for the...

    Budget Micrometer

I am looking for a good budget micrometer. I am not a professional and it will get used only once in a great while. Id like to keep it as cheap as possible but still accurate, say $40 or less if thats even possible. It will be used to measure wire gauges for maille. I tend to forget to label...

    Ten Must Have Tools

I thought it might be fun to see peoples lists. If you could only have 10 tools, not specific brands or anything, just the tool, what would they be? Sets don't count. You want sockets, one socket per spot; screwdrivers, one per spot etc

Thanks Jdon99. Im staying away from gearwrench. Especially for my torque wrench. One thing I refuse to skimp at all on. Im sure gearwrench works good but I dont need a bolt snapping or coming loose at 100 mph on my ATV.

I like you the best so far. My budget will probably be 2-3 grand as I said I dont have much left. I have my Snap On box Wrenches, my old old craftsman screwdriver set from my dad, 2 or 3 sets of Allen wrenches, some pry bars, a few pairs of vice grips, some random hammers, and my giant monkey...

As I stated I'm looking for a ratchet set right now. Unfortunately when I moved I had to sell most of my tools for space and the funds to move. Now I have the money to start replacing. First thing is my 3/8 ratchet set that was one thing I kept but was stolen out of my jeep

Also my question want is SO the end all be all or which is the greatest my question was simply are the statements about bad SO warranty the norm or do we just not hear about the good reps. And if it is the norm what are other good brands that are USA made. The second has been completely answered...

Wagzilla I thought about it but no rep is gonna be an a hole to a new customer even if he is. Redrabbit I never bagged SO. I love SO but if reps are becoming more and more of a pain I'm not dropping serious cash for a tool that's not worth the price tag. Add I stated before I realize that your...

As far as all the people who are sarcastic and talking down to me. I know SO makes great tools, but I'm not spending tons of money over another good brands so I can get local service to have that service be ****. With SO your paying a lot for service and I expect but from what I here if the...

Thank you Bob15 and dodgemech. Any recommendations on places to find Sk or Williams or Armstrong online that are reputable? And I know with some companies certain tools are not USA. Any with either of those companies? It's not that SO isn't great it's just hard justifying the expenditure and...

Are they worth it anymore? I have a handful of snap on stuff from my last job but I've been reading problems about warranty and such, which is a big reason I paid so much. I've moved and need a new ratchet set. I'd like to buy SO but have been thinking about looking elsewhere. I don't work in...
