    Vintage Snap On wrenches

Love my 1948 set, 7/16-1 1/4. I believe it is the first year they wore the snap on name. Use em every day.

No warranty on SO screwdriver handles?

I've had old hard handles that split and they just gave me a new screw driver. I'm not picky so I always take what he has available as far as handle color or style. I think they are less likely to break balls if they don't special order it.

Snap on body hammers are some of the best money spent. Just don't get antsy and bang nails with it.

REally large sockets - where to buy

I'm guessing since he spent 140 on the socket he needed, he isn't going to get the harbor freight set. Ya know cause he has to use it.

REally large sockets - where to buy

Check Craigslist daily and you will find them. I got a mix of 1 inch drive 2 5/16-3 3/8 with only a few skips for 90 bucks. They are all USA made proto, bonney, wright, Blackhawk and NBT (I think). All impacts by the way. I've seen a few 3/4 sets that I have passed on as well so I wouldn't buy...

What is this style open end wrench called and why aren't they all like this?

It's a gimmick, SO didn't do it so mac and matco probably figured they could fool a few guys with it.

Air Compressor dying / midget with a ball peen hammer

Miller Big 40 with an air pack. I know it bumps it up to 16000 or more but dang what a set up. All kidding aside it does sound like the check valve, but I'd say you definitely got your money's worth out of that thing.

I've had those for a while now and love them. They are very good for the money compared the more expensive versions.

I wouldn't go that high unless its stuff you would buy new off the truck, 350 would make it a good haul

Industrial Air 80 gallon 3 phase Experience?

Also, 3 phase compressors will be listed with different amperage draw depending on what voltage. If you have 208/230 it will be double the 460/480 amps. A 6hp or 10hp amp draw is pretty consistent with same voltage so I can't see that varying from brand to brand with similar size motors. Plus...

Tips and Tricks for Pressing Out Ball Joints?

You don't press the taper in, the pressing refers to the cup into the control arm or knuckle.

Let us see your pullers and separators

It's not cross threaded, it was used with out a jam nut. I have a 20 ton enerpac and you have to double nut and/or back up any threaded piece with a nut. Try to salvage the plate but the screw is all done.

    NES thread restore tool

It is very handy, especially for odd ball stuff like hydraulic fittings. There is no alternative when it's needed. I have intern and external in all the sizes available.
