Wow, that socket looks handy! I have the 2.0 supercharged Ecotec (LSJ) and the oil filter sits RIGHT UNDER the blower snout, you have to weasel a big socket under the blower and hold it steady while you drop an extension through the top...its a pain. I'll be picking up one of these low...

I hit an old Stanley round head with some of Mercury Marine's 2-4-C, and it worked really well. I didn't use much because it contains Teflon and is sliiiiiick, just enough. It is an extremely resilient grease that is used mainly in outboards and their drives. Its good stuff. :) I was going to...

I'd like to have that convenicence, unfortunately, I don't have a Matco dealer in the area. The only trucks around are Snap-On and Mac. :(

I would try to have it fixed by a dealer, but, there isn't one in my area. Hopefully Matco will come through for me, otherwise this will be a fun search.

Decided to break it down and lube it.. Of course I managed to mess something up. The ball bearing is now sitting somewhere in the kitchen floor. Does anyone know the exact diameter, or could this end in an embarassing call to Matco tomorrow?

I would definitely take a look at Toptul's go thru drivers. I'll be placing an order for some in a few weeks, if those tips are half as strong as they appear they'll be worth their weight in gold.
