UPDATE: Restoration Photos and another question. Scored Vidmar cabinet for 100$ at an estate sale.

Lol. I have the best wife in that regard. She is very supportive of all my creative endeavors. I am very thankful. To be fair I just got done cleaning them….in the bathtub 🤣 Don’t worry it wasn’t the master.

Man. They are expensive. If they are just dirty people pay 50-100$ a drawer and they go very quick on the lower end of that.

UPDATE: Restoration Photos and another question. Scored Vidmar cabinet for 100$ at an estate sale.

Alright Next question. Is it possible to source more of these? They are the cabinet pull end caps. I also included what the extrusion profile looks like in case there is an alternative. I know that the current cabinets have plastic end caps. Will be posting restoration photos soon.

Capri Tools 1HP die grinder, your thoughts please?

One I definitely don’t need a 1HP die grinder. I am actually looking for something that has decent power but prioritizes air efficiency. That is why I was hesitant. Either it has more power than I need and ***** a lot more air than stated or if the air usage number is correct than it definitely...

Capri Tools 1HP die grinder, your thoughts please?

Any suggestions on a 90 degree “good die grinder?”

    Common Lug Nut Sizes

Since it has already been necroed figured I would add the one but to rule them all: These allow the sub 2 second (1.8 is the record I believe) pit stops.

Snap-On screwdriver quality vs the others

Like I said, I never use flathead screwdrivers. If it was a regular occurrence I would but PB Swiss as their flatheads are too notch works of art. For my uses the relatively cheap set has served me very well and I haven’t broken or deformed a bit yet. Maybe the quality went down but I have zero...

Husqvarna 150BT leaf blower surges and stalls

I had a 150T that I got used and then upgraded to the larger model. I dealt with the same erratic behavior with my 150T. I changed out the fuel filter, fuel lines (they were disintegrating) and put in a new factory carb. After this I only ran ethanol free fuel and always used Stabil in my tank...

Snap-On screwdriver quality vs the others

Just thought I would chime in. I don’t use a lot of flathead screwdrivers because I don’t use them much but occasionally something comes up that requires a flathead. There is nothing worse than an ill fitting flathead so about 10 years ago I bought a Wheeler gunsmithing set that included a...

Capri Tools 1HP die grinder, your thoughts please?

That is interesting. It’s weird to post a cfm that only represents 15 seconds out of a minute. Is this just to be able to boost advertised specs or is it related to “best practice”. Am I only supposed to be holding the trigger for 15 seconds of every minute?

    Tool brands and buying habits

I agree with what you are saying regarding the availability of comparable tools to Tektons offerings but it’s sometimes difficult to know what you are getting with brands you are not familiar with. I have Tekton indexing prybars, punches, a set of 3/8” impact sockets, one of their pliers, a set...

    Tool brands and buying habits

Tekton for the price is better than decent. I am aware it was AJHD and not you that said Tekton is overpriced but I can’t see how that is a defensible statement. You yourself admit there is probably nothing better at the price point, which is the antithesis of something being overpriced. I have...

Buying a new U.S. General Series 3 or Icon from Harbor Freight vs. a used Snap-On or Matco toolbox

Surprised nobody has suggested the Tekton branded Rousseau boxes. I don’t have one but I have heard only good things.

I have used sponge holding forceps like these to hold the wires together. You solder in the middle of circle.

UPDATE: Restoration Photos and another question. Scored Vidmar cabinet for 100$ at an estate sale.

I will take a look tomorrow but I think there must be some release back there because extending and lifting didn’t do the trick. I’ll report back

UPDATE: Restoration Photos and another question. Scored Vidmar cabinet for 100$ at an estate sale.

So the drawer pic is the worst of the rust on the entire cabinet so I am pleased there, clean up and paint should go easy. The bearings look mostly decent but need to be cleaned and lubed. I was think Kroil and then a wax based lube or 3-in-1 but am open to suggestions. My other question is...

My buddy sent me a pic of his work

I think that is exactly what he was saying. That due to the not being bonded we can assume it was a sub-panel.

Any experience with wifi access points?

It would maybe warrant looking into the feasibility of a 1000ft roll of direct burial Cat6 cable with a POE repeater every 100 yards (so you would need two of them). Rent a trencher. I know there are some good outdoor rated repeaters and the data transmission would definitely be enough for a...

    Knipex Cobra joint play

One of my favorite tools for all sorts of rough work. Never checked mine for alignment, but I have also never had an issue gripping something as thin as a stubborn finish nail needing to be removed. On larger items, I don’t use the tip. Interesting that my usual OCD hasn’t kicked in to notice...
