    NewAge Cabinets reviews and tips

Yes, the assembly instructions call for directly mounting the cabinets to the wall, but must screw into studs. Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal

Good work this weekend! Figuring out the new wall looks like it was tricky, but you ‘nailed’ it. :D Nice!

Ok, so back to the build. We're still not quite at present day, but we'll get there soon. Some projects had to take precedence over the garage. We have two dogs and one cat, and we wanted to fence in our back yard to keep the dogs in and bad things out. Of course we know there's only so much...

Slowbuilder - thank you! I feel very fortunate both for the shop and my location. Really a dream come true for me. LOVE the early Z1000s. That's a beauty. Nice upgrades, too. So many people skip suspension upgrades and it's probably the best money you can spend. Appreciate the good word...

Yes. Your proposed method is inline with what I was thinking. Thank you! I figure I could go with 24" batts here since there are no studs. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to attach the corrugated steel. Nice work on the demo! Coming along nicely!

What a cool score on the Banks 2OTL setup. I LOVE finding NOS stuff on eBay and CL. My dad had an 84 Z28 in the blue color scheme. Loved that car. Sadly, only got to drive it a few times before I headed off to bootcamp. Just like this one.

Hey Outlaw! I just checked out your garage thread. Looks like we both love the old Blazers. Great shop! LOVE your '49. So cool! Also, you have a new Instagram follower. Next time you're in town, hit me up and we can grab a beer or something. I am sure it would blow my...

Was away for a few days while I upgraded my Mac Mini's hard drive to an SSD. Man, now I know why Apple takes so long to update their products. The amount of engineering that goes into the packaging in this little guy is pretty amazing. Have a look at the process here...

Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Small, Messy Carport to Garage

Hey Ric! I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up on your thread here, but I worked for many years out of a garage just like the one you started with here. Or, just an open carport. Awesome to see what you've done with it.

Ric, Thank you and thanks for the welcome! Its a big mess right now while I am working on it, but I hope to have it cleaned up and looking somewhat organized before too long. I grew up in a '66 CJ5! Jeeping is a great way to experience Arizona. I'll have to pick your brain for some other...

Congrats on the progress! So awesome to have a team to help you. I like how that corner trim turned out. Looks like it is supposed to be that way. Really appreciate the offer. I am still trying to visualize how I would use it in my situation with traditional fiberglass batts. I...

Thanks Mule! Sweet bike in your avatar. You still riding that monster? I have a built Bandit 1200 and love the torque of the big motors. Hey Bears Fan - Thanks! :) Yeah, but in a couple months all of us here in AZ will be jealous of you! :) Although, the heat's really not too bad if you...

Thanks for the offer! I don't really know just yet. I have space above my first girt (about 5ft to top of wall) that I want to add insulation to and then cover with some corrugated steel, but I don't want to fir that wall out with studs just to hold the batts. So I was hoping it...

Justin - way cool thread/shop/builds. Right now I'm eyeballing those HF cabinets in what I assume is a homebuilt workbench. I want to do something very similar myself. It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyways) those speakers are bitchin'

Ok, so now the garage is built and we are waiting to close on the house. But Clayton couldn't get their sh!t together and moved back our close date not once...not twice, but three times! We were renting a place nearby and we had already committed to a move out date with our landlord after the...
