I used to do some construction and used norandex many times.its a good company.... all siding will fade. As long as u dont have to replace any u will never know. If u have kids that can damage the siding look at going thicker but 042 will work fine

Yes it can tell the difference between houses. The only issue is if its scanned in the mailbox and there are 3 or 4 in the same spot it can't tell 1 from the other. But it can tell if the mailman scanned it in front of ur house or ur neighbors
