Good idea. I can't believe I never thought of stain.

Yes, it's still square. We get lots of wind and dust in the garage, so I thought it would be very apparent one day after cleaning it. I thought the carpet would hide that a bit more and I could just run the shop vac along it. I didn't even think of staining it though. I kept thinking paint.

Here's the shelf I was talking about. Any ideas? I was thinking about covering them like the stairs

I have $150 in HF gift cards and want a compressor for my garage. I'd LIKE to try my hand at auto body, so I'd need something that's going to provide enough continuous pressure for paint. I also only have 15 amp lines in the garage and I'm pretty sure none of them are dedicated to just one...
