I don't believe the tariffs will stick, not at these tax rates. At this point, most tool buys are not a necessity for me, I won't pay high prices. I will spend my money elsewhere, or invest it.

I seek out quality tools from Taiwan, these seem to exel - quality vs value. I have found Tekton, Carlyle, Icon, Astro, Blackhawk & Evercraft - almost always on sale. Otherwise Chinese tools are good enough for occasional homeowner use. HF & prime day were good to me. Fortunately I built up...

The Sunex set uses these also. Not everyday garage tools, but great emergency trunk sockets.

Would love to see trunk kits that target certain vehicle manufacturers, or just do a "euro" kit (BMW/Mercedes) & a Japanese kit (Honda/Toyota).

Love my USG box. Icon / SO are overkill for most diy folks.

Love my Tekton 1/4 & 3/8 sets, however I use them so much I kinda wish I would have paid more & bought Koken - at least for shallow sockets. If someone reading this needs a 3/8 set, look at NAPA Carlyle. 3/8 on good sale right now. These are really nice if a product of Taiwan.

Would this USG side tray work on my 42" US General Box? Additional work space would be beneficial. Concerned about drilling around the drawer slides. Thoughts?

As sales increased, HF has figured out economies of scale. This has driven other tool importers to improve thier pricing & product selection. I recently shopped for & bought a floor jack. It appears that HF, HD, NAPA, Costco & others sell many of the same products with different paint...

I found a no skip set of 10-19mm Evercraft universal sockets (made in Taiwan) for under $20 in the NAPA clearance. Have not needed one yet, so I cannot comment on strength.

I would love to see specialty tool sets for each major car manufacter. For example- for BMW, partial list: 1/4" E10 & E12 E10 & E12 1/4" swivel 14mm 1" long bare hex (for drivetrain fluids) T60 socket (for serpentine belt) Etorx wrenches E10 to E16

I have a problem with the (highly rated) GearWrench 5/8 spark plug wrench #80546 just purchased from FCP Euro for work on my 328i. The hex portion of the plug sits very shallow in the socket, only 5mm depth, with much of it chamffered, causing the plugs to get rounded off when removing them...
