    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1950s Craftsman Garage retro remodel

Dave should post a warning that this thread contributes to the eroding of society's moral fiber by causing wonton lust and envy :) Between Dave, Jack Olsen, and Shopnut, I can't settle anymore for just a plain old 2 car suburban garage. I'm compelled to have a coordinated shop with fantastic...

Rocksolid polyurea floor. Has anyone tried this if FL

I think it is the same with any floor coating: Don't apply it when it's raining and the low will be above 40. Good luck.

    Salt Life Hideout

Just perusing your thread to get some ideas. I hadn't thought about insulation on the doors. Since we are facing east, that would be a great idea. Dave has already derailed my simple garage plan with his Carftsman garage. And Jack's garage looks so organized and finished, I'll have to do the...

    Supercoat

Appears to be water based epoxy not 100% solid. There's loads of threads on the differences. Bottom line, prep the floor good. For price comparison make sure you include the gloss coat in since that would make it more equivalent to the performance of 100% solid epoxies that have a gloss built in...

Old Gas Station US 90 West Jacksonville, Fl

I don't remember what the Cities stations looked like. I've seen a few like that one on Long Island and had one in Southern WV that the owner said was built new for him in the 50s as a Union station. I always liked that design since it fit so well in a lot of the older neighborhoods.

    Starting my Epoxy-Coat Tomorrow Morning

Get seperate buckets to measure and use the big bucket just to mix part A and B. The most trouble seems to be using the paint stick and getting the measurements wrong. Also mix according to the directions for the amount of time. That's needed to get the epoxy reacting together. I start mine...

Old Gas Station US 90 West Jacksonville, Fl

Looks like a Union 76 station. Some had a bay next to the office. The front and back sheds would have be added. Thought it looked familiar since I work close by on McDuff

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1950s Craftsman Garage retro remodel

Arrrggghhh!!! I was just looking at the lastest updates and you've just complicated my life twice as much. Here I was thinking the Taupe would be pretty good for my garage and you kick it up 3 notches with a stripe!!! Back to the drawing board :( I think the 2 stripes with chip mix 5 or 6...

    Cost = Quality???

Don't forget to add the clear coat to the base coat for Rustoleum. When I was figuring costs out for Rustoleum and Quikrete, once that was factored in, Epoxy Coat was actually cheaper if you don't add the extra high gloss to it. That being said, I've had a few people that had installed...

Great garage you have there. When I saw you won the contest, I thought the floor would go great. I am a bit partial to the Taupe base. You can add the flakes that are the closest to the lower wall color to tie it in. Love the tools also.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Mixed Grill - From London , England - GRIZZMAKES world

Having been out of work before for that long, it certainly is an adjustment. Guess you only have two months of better weather before it gets a bit too cool to be working outside. Good thing to get the paving sorted.

    Car Guys Epoxy Flooring

Well, figured out it is MuscleGloss by another name. Think I'm going with Epoxy-coat since it has a better warranty and a bit more material in the kit for approx the same price thanks to RugerLady here on GJ.

    Car Guys Epoxy Flooring

I have been reading a lot of posts on the board here and have been comparing the various epoxy flooring alternatives. I found a system by "carguysflooring" that is 100% solid, UV resistant, and has a semi-gloss finish. The kit looks pretty good for about $300 for a 2 car garage. Thier system...
