    Hot Rod Diner in SoCal

Softtail: Both bikes are "turn of the Century" (2000-2009) production bikes made by Vengeance Motorcycles in Riverside, CA. Some say these were "dark" days in the m/c world when about 50K "cookie cutter" choppers were built. These are two of them. Hand assembled and hand painted these are based...

    Hot Rod Diner in SoCal

Thanks all for the nice comments. The diner booth is what started it all... my wife rescued them from a place that was closing down at the beach. The cabinets were homemade (just finished so the maid hasn't come by yet.) They have tracks for glass doors which hopefully will cut down on the dust...

    Garage remodel question for all

I came here looking for ideas for my cabinet project... now I have several new projects I want to do. I even brought up the idea of "frenching" my motorcycle lift into the floor the other night at dinner. (A roll of the eyes is not a NO. Right?) Thanks Jack!

Where to find VCT tiles in Black and white?

I've used the .79 sq ft VCT in two garages a single and a triple and have been happy with both. As you can see in Chuck W's pix there are always some tire "burns" left on the surface. I actually think they only come from new tires. It may be the soft compound?

What do your Storage Cabinets look like?

Here's the result of this thread in my garage... 24' feet of cabinets to hide plastic storage bins the rest is folly to show off some tchotchkes. Basically there are 6 ea. 48" wide 42" high (bar height) 24" deep boxes made out of 3/4" plywood trimmed with ripped down 1 x 2.25 and Kreg'd...

Hello from the Hot Rod Diner

I wanted to build some shelves in my garage and I started lurking here a couple of months ago reading all the storage threads. Here's a couple of shots of my 3-car garage/man space and the shelves I built to go on the one wall.

    The Hot Rod Handbook Shop

What? Wheres the fridge, flat screen TV, 8 extra tool chests. Where are all the 'great' things that I have collected... it seems so empty. Do you think they could really be happy in 1955 with just enough to enjoy doing the job? Haven't we proven that more is... well more? I stand guilty of the...

    Lets see the fridges

Jake149... Your Frigidaire turned out great. Did you paint it yourself or send it out? I have one and never knew why half the bottom rack was glass. From your pic I see I'm missing a pull out drawer. I bought mine for the garage because it had the General Motors logo on the front... and it ended...

    50s diners.

Dug this up for the train thread but it fits here too... This was my old single car garage. Originally it was a carport that was enclosed in the 60's the previous owner built with a 5' "lean-to" on the side. We leveled the floor and laid Armstrong B&W tiles. The bumper pool table, pinball and...

    Train Sets in Garage!!

In my last Garage (a single) I made a 3/4" plywood 6" wide shelf the entire perimeter of the garage about 8" down from the ceiling and ran a O-gauge Lionel SantaFe Steamliner. The corners were curved to match the curve of the track and at one end the garage I built a soffet that served as a...
