I have a chance to buy A TON of old garbage Thorson tools made in Taiwan. 20,000 Star Bits, Sockets,Ratchets… All 3/8” and 1/2” and all are brand new in the package.. he wants 1200 bucks.. as a reseller, would it be worth it? That much chinese tools makes my blood curdle.

I’d go icon. They really do make decent tools! One of the best warranty’s in the industry.. won’t be worth anything when you sell them used tbh, but oh well..

Bought a Milwaukee Pex A tool last year on black friday. It hasnt been used once.. 350.00 well spent!

I own a new proto 12,hF Doyle 12”,8 10 and 12” milwaukee, and pittsburgh adjustables. I use them for plumbing. The Milwaukee is my favorite!

I picked up a pair of green handled Harry Epstein Wilde groove joints.. no complaints so far, and is money well spent!

Now THOSE look like Wildes! The ones I have do appear to be Western Forge! My question is, is this old WF stock? Or is it from the western forge machinery that was moved to illinois when Ideal shut down Western Forge?

Just an fyi, the cheap looking slip joints in the picture were opened at same time and are a 4 dollar pair of Wilde pliers “thin nose”.. they also look brand new.

they are smooth jaws so I have next to no use for them, bought them for once in awhile. Anyway they got opened up and sat next to my Wilde 10” groove joints in a drawer in my living room.. 7 days later, rust on the c-locks, zero rust on the Wilde. My windows in my living room are usually open...

Apparently, according to the recent vid harry epstein released, is that under great star they are getting rid of all products they can’t make in house.

I was wondering if SK made them as well. Nothing against wilde but most of the tools I have of theirs aren’t exactly what I would consider “top shelf”.
