Best brake/shear/roller - combo or buy individually

I've got the bike in pieces now and I'm doing the finishing welding. Just wait for the old school color scheme like on this Porsche:

Best brake/shear/roller - combo or buy individually

I'm in the process of building a street tracker [link to pictures] in my garage and I'm finally to the breaking point of needing some real fabricating tools. I have a Thermal Arc 185 TIG, a 14" cold chop saw and a bunch of hand tools, but I have yet to get a real shear, brake or roller. Lucky...

    The DualSaw

The Dual Saw that I had come through my shop had Chinese/Harbor Freight quality written all over it. Like the comments above, worked fair for demo or home owner. Without a collection tube it shoots the metal chips back at your hand. Make sure and wear gloves. Also, the smaller wheel dia and...

Any interest in a RapidReel group buy?

Interested in a wall mount. . . posting up actual pricing and possible shipping costs would help the decision. Thanks!

Thermal Dynamics Pro Wave 185 Tig Welder

I have a TA185. I found it used (probably for about 20 minutes total) for $1,000. . . Works great. No real tips/tricks, but it does everything I need (aluminum, steel, stainless) in my garage.

First Fab Project - Ski Bench

Yeah, but then you see the black bases. . . not as cool in my opinion as a the logo'd top coat. Also the arm rests are cross country skis so they are not flat on the bottom.

First Fab Project - Ski Bench

If you made a jig, doing kits would be fairly easy. Then someone would just need to get the skis or the board. Snowboards would definitely be the way to go for ease of install.

First Fab Project - Ski Bench

Since I'm not actually going to be at the shop very often, I intentionally did not put skis on the bottom of the chair. I could see some pimply-faced employees grabbing the bench while there was downtime.

First Fab Project - Ski Bench

And this little guy was a great help. One of the best gifts I've ever received!

First Fab Project - Ski Bench

Haha, that comment will be made fairly often while the bench is in service at the shop. I was really amazed that the Head/Fox made in Boulder Co. ski was the hardest ski to drill through. It had metal sheets everywhere. . . all the rest were mostly resin.

First Fab Project - Ski Bench

So I learned to weld while getting an MBA (not really in the general course track) and I haven't had a real project beyond fixing broken pieces of metal or making a headlamp for my little DRZ134SM. This is my gift to one of my groomsman. He owns a ski shop here in the mountains of Ohio...

    flat files for storage?

I looked at them, but they were extremely deep (like 3.5') and at only 2" tall drawers you couldn't put a ton in them. I have a guy locally that is selling 3, but where are you going to put something that is 4.5' wide, 3.5' deep and 18" tall (I have a small 2 car garage).

    painting a 2 car garage

I rollered my 2 car garage in no time. Make sure to use exterior paint. It makes clean up and any sort of over spray very easy to clean off.

Do you change your own oil in all vehicles?

Batch them together. . . I did 3 cars and 4 motorcycles in 3.5 hours a few weeks ago. I like doing it because I don't strip out the plugs or over tighten things. Also, I may not save any money, but I can put premium synthetic oil for the price of cheapo oil.

    Garage Interior Paint Question

I used an outdoor semi-gloss and it looks great. The outdoor formula is easier to spread and is much more durable for those hose-out-the-garage washings.

    My little 10'x20'

If my garage were that small I don't think I'd park inside, just make it a really nice little shop. The need to park a car in there really kills many of your options for storage/tools/usable space.

    Oil drain pans

Thanks for the info guys. I don't think I'm going to find a magic bullet solution and will probably shift over to the 5 gallon jug to transport the used oil to the auto parts store.

    Oil drain pans

Yeah, I have a small 2 car garage that houses my 5 motorcycles, a car and serves as my work shop. Space is at a premium and having extra jugs laying around doesn't sound too great if I can solve the problem another way.

    Oil drain pans

That's what I'm thinking Keep. My problem with the current can is that both the funnel and cap are soft plastic and the threads cam out when tightened.

    Oil drain pans

That sounds like an option, but then I would have to have empty cans around. I'm 27 and have a long life ahead of me and I'm working off of a theory of mine. . . If I spend a little extra time and/or money now, I will have nice tools, storage, shop, etc that I can use for the rest of my life...
