    Scissor lift ... downside??

I'm loving my scissor lifts. Just finished everything a month or two ago. Haven't had any issues with them yet (knock on wood)!

California Air Tools Ultra Quiet Compressor CAT-10020

Thanks. The shelf is two 3/4" plywood sheets glued together and then recessed into the wall framing and sandwiched between multiple 2x4 framing reinforcements on both sides that mate with the wall. It was done before the drywall was put up. The thing is SOLID and does not budge. I can hang...

High Lift Garage Door Track Help

You may be able to rig up something with the 480LM extension sprocket set and longer chain like this: Well not exactly that, but something along those lines. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002P5RDDK/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Ditch the cover and get a longer chain if needed.

California Air Tools Ultra Quiet Compressor CAT-10020

I run one of these compressors for my simple shop air system (mainly just used for a lift, blower, and tire pumping). It's the 2.0 hp model to give a bit over 4 scfm continuously for faster refill. It's not obnoxiously loud, but it does still startle me when it turns on.

Lift owners that sit on a rolling stool when underneath car

I'm dealing with the same issue. My lift goes up JUST too low to comfortably walk under, so I'm looking for a good tall stool that rolls. I ended up picking up a hydraulic drafting stool but the wheel base is a bit large.

Tool Review : Ingersoll Rand W5330 Right Angle Impactool (Hammerhead)

I was pretty excited about this tool until all the discussion about disappointing torque output.

    25' x 25' blank canvas

Awesome planning! Sure you don't want to pitch the ceiling so you can put a lift in there? :)

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

HEI is the official US distributor for the EE-6503 lift discussed throughout most of this thread: http://hei-lifts.com/prod01.htm The OEM "Ever-Eternal" in China that makes this lift no longer sells directly to end customers in China. The good news is that Phil @ HEI lift has great support...

    PIXI LED panel lights

I am super happy with these 2' x 8' natural white LED lights from "Envirolite" stocked at Home Depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Envirolite-2-ft-x-4-ft-White-Backlit-Recessed-LED-Ceiling-Troffer-EVTR2X4BLLED/204724391 I installed 8 of them in a 21' x 21' garage. They're dimmable with 0-10V...

Did you swap the connections going into the pump itself (keeping the valve on the line with the "T")?

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Are you running it without compressed air holding the safety locks disengaged? All I can think of is if you accidentally have the safety teeth engaged yet you try to force the lift down so it ***** the ram right out of the socket once it comes loose. Is that your primary or secondary lift...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Open the valve and hold the down button if you want to start over and let them slowly drain down. When using the lift normally, you keep the valve closed. Opening the valve is only for the purpose of leveling the lifts.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Wow, that thing is a clone! How much was it including shipping if you don't mind sharing? The PDF diagram is correct. The pump connection with the valve is the *return* line. The other non-valve line that goes first to the main lift is the pressurized side. Once all the air is out of the system...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Down with no vehicle load goes very slowly. On mine, it just let's the cylinders empty from the weight of the lift. You could try holding down while you add some weight to the lift that is up to help empty it out. Could you post pictures of your lifts, hydraulic connections, pump connections...
