You don't. It soaks into the pores of the wood. Like cat urine it stays. After cleaning it well keep baking soda in it and change it often. That helps keep the smell down.

    Rust Removal/Axe

Vinegar. A piece as rusty as that gets left in for 2 hrs or so. Take a wire brush [brass] to remove the top layer of rust. Back in for a couple more hrs, scrub it down with a green scrubbing pad. Rinse it in water. Done. 4-5 hrs at the most.

    2016 Garage Sale Thread

Possibly I saw it on another thread here on GJ ? Someone somewhere showed tools bought at a sale and threw in a picture of cast iron pineapples they also found. I don't remember where I saw it. AARRGH. I've always had a good memory but it's always been so damn short as far back as I can remember.

Bi Metal hole saws for metal

I suggest you drill the pilot hole with a drill bit only. After the pilot is drilled, THEN use the hole saw to cut the hole. Trying to drill the pilot with the hole saw on is asking for a broken pilot bit and /or a twisted wrist when the hole saw grabs.

How good are these files and how much are they worth?

$150 breaks down to $10 a file there. You can buy new for less. And just get the ones you need or want.
