    BEFORE & AFTER....A Tool Polisher's Haven

It's a circus tent, people hate it when I set it up on the beach because no one can see the ocean.

    Power failure alarm question

I'm sure there's a better way but if you want to be alerted by phone you could get these and put one by your sump pump and if it gets wet it will alert you. It would also alert you if your pump wasn't doing it's job (quit). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J9HZ5VN/?tag=atomicindus08-20

What Is This Box? Trying to get Access to Fiber

If there is FTTH near it's a GPON splitter box. One fiber goes into a splitter which can be an 1x8 but usually 1x32. It all matters how much bandwidth is being provided. The fiber that leaves the box goes to the ONT clam shells at the homes, or inside ONTs. When the plant is built each...

Achitect Fees - What Should I expect?

We added to our attached and added living space above it in 2014, he charged me a dollar per square foot. Ended up with full size prints to take to the city. The plans didn't have a red mark on them.

How do I get a wood baseball bat out of a cleanout?

If you have a metal fish tape you can put it down there and twist it around, once it's wrapped around the bat you can pull the bat out.

    BEFORE & AFTER....A Tool Polisher's Haven

Yes, they are nice, about 10 seconds form laying on the ground and fully deployed. Put a 1500 amp heater in it when it's 20 degrees outside and you're in shirt sleeves before you know it.

    Crimping battery cable tool

I just used this one to wire the battery in the trunk project car. It's on the expensive side and is tough to use in tight places. It does a lot of different size cable though. I also like using lugs that can be crimped twice.

    BEFORE & AFTER....A Tool Polisher's Haven

Not a big deal I turned this piece of stainless steel into a door sill plate for my car. I hate the mess buffing makes in my shop so I went out and got this tent out of my work vehicle, problem solved.

On a scale of 1-10, how ugly is my house?

We ugly-fied our house, our attached 26x26' garage was too small. Added a 26x30' addition with new living space above. We now have a 26x56' garage/shop.

    Permatex Rust Treatment Issues

I've never seen that stuff. I use epoxy primer, then spray it with a single stage matte black. If you don't have a spray set up I'd brush on POR-15, then paint it with whatever you want. I don't know where you live in Washington but here on the east side of the mountains I can leave bare...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Same as I do any day I don't work, worked on my project car. Cut and buffed the engine bay and installed some sheet metal parts I made a while back to make sure they still fit. This is before and after.

    Prepping Steel for Painting

Yep, epoxy primer and you want to put the finish coats on in the epoxies window so you can get a good chemical bond. If you wait too long you will have to scuff the epoxy, some epoxies have a 4-5 day window.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Ooh that looks nice, I'm hoping to have the car back together in late spring. I updated the front and rear suspensions so I got the car running and drove it last May. Took it back apart to paint it.

String Trimmer upgrades for tall people

Okay, I'm 5'10" and am wondering if because a tall persons arms are usually longer, are my hands the same distance from the ground? During the summer I run my string trimmer once a week and it usually gives me a back ache that lasts an hour or so. I have a Weed Eater brand handle on my...
