Great list, thanks! I would have to say that the Wilton C3 should be on the bottom of this list. I've had a C3 and it wasn't anywhere near the vise at the 4C is. For some reason, I didn't weigh my C3, but I would have a hard time believing it weighs more than a 4C. I did weigh my Wilton 800N...

What's the largest/heaviest swivel base vise that also has pipe jaws? Would it be the Reed 4C? I can't seem to think of anything larger off the top of my head. I don't think there are any 8'' vises with pipe jaws?

Nice! Can you post a picture of your 56H? I would love to see it. I have a Reed 4C in an electrolysis tank as we speak. That vise is about as beefy as it gets for a 6'' jaw vise, but the anvil horn on the 54H is pretty darn cool. Haha thanks! I'm partial to the functional and well oiled but...

The Hollands 54H is pretty beefy for a 5” jaw vise. It weighs in at 128 lbs on my scale.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have any makers marks, but I got it from Austria. I only know of two others like this one and they are just from old photos. The other big ones like Vises has are the Super Vise style.

Ah, I think you're asking if it's a German post vise? If so, yes, I believe it to be German.

Yeah, it's about an 1.5''. I'm guessing it was bent when it was dropped at some point. The bend mirrors the angle that it would have hit the ground once it was released from it's mounting location. I don't know what you're asking :headscrat

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, that's not near wide enough. I picked up an old vise stand and I can't for the life of me figure out what vise it was originally intended for. I traced the mount on a piece of paper and attached it below. It has to be an early 1900s swivel base vise that has...

Nice looking vise! Can you tell me how wide the mounting bolt holes are on the 181?
