    Coop's Place of Mayhem

Re: The Building of Coop's Place of Mayhem Amen to that! Trouble is (at least around me) you can't get away from them unless you move to a county without any zoning laws (few and far between). Technically, where I live, there isn't a HOA. The township board runs the township like one, though...

    Coop's Place of Mayhem

Re: The Building of Coop's Place of Mayhem Good luck with the build! I can sympathize with the whole homeowner/property owner association issue. I like to call them code Nazis- and yes, I realize how negative and un-PC that is. It sounds like you are in a similar situation as I am- my house...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Great looking friend there- and thumbs up to your wife on the name! I've been a Mazda and Wankel rotary OCD junkie for over 20 years... Zoom-Zoom!

    Odd Conundrum

I still try to do everything I can myself, but will call a pro in when I am absolutely certain I am in over my head, or just do not have the time to tend to it myself. That said, I find I have a similar issue with the cars. I won't think anything of spending hours and hours fiddling in the shop...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

For me, first there was my sister, Lady. German Shepherd Miniature and Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix rescued from the Humane Society after one of the vets they used to put down unwanted/unadoptable dogs refused to euthanize her because he said despite what she had been through (long story), there was...

Newbie with question on 32x60 RV garage

Ran into a similar issue when I had a quote done on building a new shop here several years ago (wanted to go 40x60x14). Same deal as you- my backyard has a slope. Just the site prep was going to about 50% of the build cost because the contractor said the foundation area would need to be...

Adding Second 100 Amp Panel for Detached Shop

Thanks for all the input- beginning to sound like I was (un)lucky enough to get ahold of one of those wannabe experts at the store that actually didn't know anything. I had been informed that the wire could be used above ground, or underground, so long as it was buried in conduit. Wonderful...

Adding Second 100 Amp Panel for Detached Shop

Sorry, I did leave a bit of detail out there... - Current 15 amp service to pole barn is on it's own buried line (how things were when I bought the house). I think it is 12/3. - Buried three conductor AL wire I mentioned is just that- buried only (in conduit), but currently not hooked up to...

Adding Second 100 Amp Panel for Detached Shop

Many apologies if this scenario has already been covered elsewhere and I have overlooked it. I read through numerous threads that were similar, but still didn't clarify things for my situation. Hoping someone on here can give me a definitive answer so I can finally wire my shop properly. No...

older snap-on/blue point welder MB120 parts?

Blue Point is just Snap-On's house brand so to speak- same company. You could try contacting them , but from what I've found online they aren't very helpful with this welder (I also have an MB120A), as they have not sold it in a very long time, and once they stop sourcing something from another...

    74x80x16 Hotrod garage/barn

I'm new here myself, but hang around a few other forums and love seeing other garages and shops.... gives me all sorts of ideas for this end! Even without seeing pics yet, I'm already uber-jealous. Despite living in a rural area, the township I'm in must have used to have some old ninny ex-HOA...
