    T-5 reflector cleaning?

I have 6 tube T-5 lights in my shop. The reflectors have gotten very dirty. Does anyone know of a great way to clean them? Our problem has been scratching the polished surface. We have used simple green, windex and a car duster. The duster did the least amount of damage. The soaps didn't do alot...

    SO BK5500 Mini Review

I've also had one since they first came out. Extremly handy tool! Used it for all kinds of things. Reviewed all on the market at the time and found this to be the best choice. Seems like batteries should last longer, but we do have it on alot. Highly recommended!

    Homemade air compressor

Suggest you save your time and money and buy a complete unit. You can get a small inexpensive complete working compressor from HF or Northern Tool or COSCO etc. . Sell the snowblower engine and tank on CL for whatever you can get. You really will be money ahead.

    Craftsman 52" Tool Box

Look on this site and Craigslists around your area for a used Snap-On box. You should be able to find a much better used box for just a little more money. We're talking about something you will be personally using on a regular basis. You really need to be completely happy with it. The first time...

    Need help asap...

You didn't mention a compressor. You may want to use air tools. This would be a good time to plumb air lines in the walls. Use copper or black iron, no plastic stuff. Also, hot and cold water wash area for parts and outside carwashing. Maybe an extra waterheater. What about heating/cooling and...

    Krl box problems?

I've found that you need to exercise all the drawers a few times. Some weight will help. Afterall, the parts are brand new. A very small amount of light oil also helps. Heck, in 3 or 4 years you'll have forgotten there ever was a slight drag.

Parts washers - solvent v. water v. bio

We use a product called oil eater. We use it undiluted and not heated. We are planning to add a heater this year. It has been very effective, but you must rinse well in very hot water afterwards. The parts washer is an early '90's model from Chemsearch. We tried Safety Kleen and kerosene, but...

above ground storage tank for gasoline

We don't have one yet. We've been thinking about using an older model fuel delivery truck. California has some really strict rules on spill retention and leaks. Anybody have any thoughts or experience on this?

    burn scar reduction roller tool

I also am a burn survivor. I talked to the burn docs at UC Davis med center about this. They had never heard of such a thing. They told me to stay away from it. Infection is their primary concern as well as it would be a waste of money, in that it wouldn't work.:shocking:

    Lincon Masterluber

What else do you know about this unit? Do bulk containers fit in the cabinetry? Does one air line supply all the pumps? Are there any pumps? What gauge is missing? Anything you can tell us about it. Thanks.

    Snap-on box worth $1K?

I paid $400 two years ago for the one I have. Looks about the same wear wise. Mine did not have keys, which I got for $15 from my Snap-On dealer.

    T&E Tool storage?

Unless you absolutely have to have a brand new box, why not try the used Snap-On, Matco and even older Mac market. Right here, Ebay and Craigslist have lots of really nice boxes for just a hair more than these.

Snap On's tool box challenge - opinions needed.

From the situation you are describing, I would suggest used Snap-On KRL's and/or SO roll carts. Lots of used boxes are available, even from dealers. The dealers need the business. Because you require the tech's to move the boxes to the work area, the only boxes that will take that continuous use...

    Pickup truck cap security...

Try to find a "good" motel and talk to the clerk about security. Make sure nothing is visible from the outside. In addition to having your boxes locked, you could have them secured to the bed, or each other. Chains work well and are easy to remove with the lock. You could bolt the boxes down or...

Hot water Vs. Cold water Pressure washer...

We also have a Hotsy. It's a hot water gas engine 4000 psi 3.5 gpm unit. We use it to clean everything. When cleaning the old Cats, the grime just melts away. Hot water really reduces the cleaning time. When you are cleaning a large machine it gets very tiring. I would recommend a turbo nozzle...

    Micro Precision Calibration Inc.

They charged me $55 for calibrating my old Penncraft torque wrench. But they also basically rebuilt it so it would consistantly yield correct results. I recommend you contact them with your needs and go from there.
