    Bad Experience with Matco

Yep. That was one of them, and the second was the 18" locking flex head in 3/8". And 2 years? That's next-level bad.

    GearWrench Warranty / Customer Service

Tekton is awesome, as long as you don't care that it's usually made overseas. I think they're what Craftsman used to be. I've actually seen someone review a new Tekton tool on a forum (probably this one...can't remember), and mention that it was scuffed out of the box. A Tekton rep found the...

    Need to upgrade SAE sockets

I have some Tekton and Sunex sockets. Both are sufficient, and I love Tekton for their price and customer service. With that said, my Sunex sockets are of much higher quality. While I don't own any premium brand sockets, I have trouble imagining anything nicer than my Sunex's. I do own a lot...

    Bad Experience with Matco

Yeah, in general, if I want rebranded stuff, I'll buy something from Tekton. Their stuff is cheap, adequate, has a lifetime warranty, and their customer service is really good. I was gonna make an exception for Matco since their ratchets (at least the 2 I was buying) are made in the USA.

    Bad Experience with Matco

Yeah, I think my favorite is SO, just because they make their own stuff and aren't owned by stanley. With that said, some of Mac's stuff has been catching my eye.

    Bad Experience with Matco

Yeah, I have a weird obsession with ratchets. I didn't even need the 1/2" I was buying. It was just 6 inches longer than my snap on and had an ADORABLE green and black grip, so you know...I had no choice. lol

    Bad Experience with Matco

I tried to file a dispute, but according to the bank, if you use a debit card, they could literally just spontaneously purchase me a tool with my card, and as long as they ship it, it's not considered fraudulent. You have to show a record of having sent the item back, and the company has to...

    Bad Experience with Matco

My dad had told me this, and I didn't believe him. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way on this one. I use paypal now, and paypal has my credit card, not the debit card.

    Bad Experience with Matco

The reason I did everything over email was because I work in a factory with poor cell reception, and am constantly called to deal with urgent problems. It's one emergency after the next, so I can't afford to wait on hold. I tried once or twice, and hung up around the 10 minute mark, if I...

    Bad Experience with Matco

Thanks! Yeah, I just used my email records to put dates in the post, so people could get an idea of timeline. With that said, the bank did show an attempt at drafting the money for the second tool on the 24th, and they can see on their end when a transaction was initiated, even if it didn't...

    Bad Experience with Matco

I recently tried doing business with Matco. I wanted to share my experience, in case anyone is choosing between the premium tool brands. On April 27th, I placed 2 orders for a total of 2 ratchets from Matco's website, for about $500. I didn't receive any confirmation emails. On the next...
