To the OP, do what 404 said as far as the EGR goes. Either you will find that it is working ok or that it is partially open causing all your problems at idle. Lucky that you guys dont have to test for NoX.

404 just so we are clear I am not saying your wrong as the EGR can introduce HC back into the system.

I know that the EGR is closed at idle but when a vehicle is emission tested on the dyno the EGR system cannot be tampered with as NoX will go up. If you are doing it for testing purpose (not running through emissions) to block off the EGR to test the potential leak. How ever the high idle needs...

Thats not right, 1k RPM is too high. It should be about 750 RPM depending on if it is a manual or automatic but if you look under the hood there should be a decal that states what the base RPM is. Also wouldnt hurt to clean the throttle blade and body prior to setting your base idle.

Thats strange that there is no spot for NoX.. Did they run it on the dyno? What RPM is your base idle set to?
