    My race trailer refresh

Yeah, UMP seems like the wild wild west, where rules are just suggestions most of the time. We run IMCA mostly here, but plan on traveling a bit more and running some USRA/USMTS stuff as well.

    My race trailer refresh

Great work! Once you get it all painted and finished up, it will look as good or better as a professional built one. I want to do the exact same thing to my trailer. I have an old Beckham that was built for late model. Its a great trailer, but like yours, the box is pretty small, and I don't...

    Astro Pneumatic stubby drill bits

Are the 3/16" stubbies (9036) just out of stock or are they being discontinued? I build a lot of race car bodies using 3/16" pop rivets to fasten the panels together, and would like to give your bits a try.

At what point is it necessary to clamp or vice your workpiece?

If using a hand drill on metal, I clamp the piece always. If using a drill press, I usually leave the part or the vice floating, but spin them around so they stop against the column of the press. If I can't do that, I clamp them.

    Zoro Deals Thread

I went pretty light this year. All I got was an 1-1/8" 120XP GearWrench splined ratcheting wrench, a Diablo SawzAll blade kit, and a metric SK Long Pattern wrench set. I wanted to get some Knipex plier wrenches, but I spent enough elsewhere...

Stupidest ways you temporarily misplaced a tool while working on something?

While not actually a tool, it's still a good story. My entire family races dirt oval cars, and one time unfortunately , my Dad got into a terrible wreck and ended up barrel rolling twice, before slamming down hard on all fours again. He was mainly unhurt, except he was saying his azz hurt real...
