Fully air sealed and fire caulked. Fiberglass is brown and not dirty. It's brand new. Sheetrock coming soon. I have 2 batt chargers always charging. Total of four batteries available.

Garage/shop stage 4: air, 220v, more light, insulation, hvac (PICS)

I have previously posted pics and details about my ongoing shop/garage build - stage 1 was the building itself, stage 2 was a lengthy DIY on how I did my epoxy flooring, stage 3 covered the 2-post lift selection and installation, and now I have almost finished stage 4, so I figured I'd post it...

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

I've been looking there quite a bit. Judging by our local CL listings, most of what's going out of business is restaurants. There is tons of restaurant equipment it seems. Hey, cool, James. That's great news - I don't mind having to paint them as long as the quality and price is good, and...

Good info, Rick. I might try that also.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

I'm sure I could do it with a decent set of plans. Haven't done much of that type of work before, I'm more of an auto, electrical and plumbing guy so far. I have other walls, but plan to leave those mostly open because space can be tight with the lift.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

Admittedly I've never been to one. I'll ask a local friend there to look for me and report back with input.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

The ones I dislike are particle board covered with a thin sheet of laminate. They typically don't hold a lot of weight, come with cheap hardware, and don't look fantastic. They're functional for light use, but that's about all.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

John, do they make sturdy cabs that aren't laminated? I have laminated in my other garage and they don't hold up well even to occasional use.

Excellent idea! I was trying to think of how to contact companies that have used office furniture but this is a great one.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

GREAT info, thanks. I wish we had IKEA here, but we don't :( The MDF plus sheet metal is also a solution I will investigate for sure.

That sounds very reasonable. I'll keep you posted for sure. I hope kitchen cabs are good enough for storage - they should be, if well built. If I don't like the finish I can refinish or paint them to my liking.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

It sounds like my best compromise will be used kitchen cabinets from Habitat and a tough top surface that I'll have to figure out.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

Those are unbelievable but probably out of my price range. I would say at most, I would want to spend maybe $2-3K tops including the bench top and cabinets, and all hardware I need to get them in.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

Good input. I also plan to visit the Habitat "ReStore" where people drop off old cabinets from kitchens. You can get a full set for under $1K, then I could just do the countertop and build the sink in myself.

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

I have about a 19' long wall which I want base cabinets for, including the sink I mentioned, but there is a window on part of that, so the upper cabinets are probably only about 13-14' long. I want something sturdy and with lots of tough work surface for harsh jobs like welding and grinding and...

Decent tough hanging lower/upper cabinets for less than $Arm or $Leg?

So I'm now trying to figure out what to do about cabinets. I've got about 18 feet of wall along which is a double-wide plastic sink and also some windows. Here's what the sink and windows look like at the far end: My goal is to have one long, flat surface on which I can store tools or work...
