You're very likely on the right path with your back. I went through a series of spinal/back pain issues when I was big into mountain biking in my 20s. Mine was due to lack of core strength and muscle imbalance as you're suspecting yourself. I did a lot of stability exercises to strengthen my...

You may want to consider draining the tank too. Chances are that some of the dissolved rubber line is mixed with the fuel in the tank. More true if that original corn juice is still in the tank, but even running new fuel through the broken down hose would likely have take some with it.

That's actually how I found it. A lot of manufactures use different grades for their different brands. I have a Scion that has a worthless OE filter, but the Toyota models get a better filter and the Lexus is an activated charcoal filter. They are all the same size, but better quality. Same with...

I'll leave the cleaning product recommendation to D.F.B. but what are you doing for the cabin filter? I find that using an activated carbon or HEPA level filter on recirculate really helps decrease the amount or residue on my fleets windshields, especially in the winter when defrost is running a...

Just think of all the tools to do your own maintenance you'll be able to buy with all the money you save doing your own maintenance. Garage math! Just think how nice it would be to have a lift you could use for maintenance and detailing ;)

Good call. I did mine color matched on a bright blue car and hated how it showed through the grill.

I will third that the foam cannon is likely the issue. Chemical Guys Honeydew in my MTM PF22.2 fed by a cheap Sun Joe pressure washer is my default wash setup and I have no issues getting thick foam.

I'll chime in on the tinted windshield conversation. My new car has I believe a 50% on the windshield and 20% the rest of the way around. I find the windshield a little more difficult to see thru at dusk, but I don't have any problems with the windshield at night. I find headlights tend to...

I haven't been through that with Hoka's, but with some Nike FlyKnits that my wife has 4 pair of and loves, but I tried and hated. I'll give a bit of a different perspective on the shoe change. I was having a lot of foot/ankle/planter pain, from severe tightness through my Achilles and hamstring...

***** that it happened, but glad it happened at an opportune time and place. My 74' Fiat did something similar a month ago. Got back from a 700 mile drive in it (last 2 days of the HRPT) and then it dropped a carb screw in the motor while warming up in the driveway before driving it to work the...

I feel like your thread is slowly turning into a detailing advice thread so figured I’d hop in. Got a new to me Golf Sportwagen with a Golf R leather interior (black). Leather looks great, but feels slightly stiff and is in need of a good cleaning and conditioning. I’ve been watching your...

My cars are all in the passenger car tire category, so no specific recommendations for your LR, but I'm a big fan of using tirerack test data. They used to test them themselves and do so on most of the tires they sold. You can find some good side by side comparisons in the test section with...

Congrats on finding a builder. Was this one more in line with the initial $/SF expectations? That looks like a gorgeous place to enjoy the view of ever day.

Hey dubber, hope everything is going well. I just bought a white GSW last week and couldn't help but be reminded of yours. I was sad when it left your garage photos. Anything interesting happening in your current fleet? Fun guest stop in for a cleaning?

I feel you on the perfectionist and the desire to do it right the first time. I've found that the key is learning that even perfection must have a tolerance range. This is coming from someone who's tightest measured tolerances were .000025" tolerance windows. For me, the ones I can directly...

If your worried about the visibility of the slots after weld, maybe compromise and only do them for the gussets in center support. It would line them along the length and height, but they'd only be visible in the channel of the beam. You'd only need a square to line them up then. I know you'd...

I tend to keep them for a period on newer product for potential warranty returns. Some brands require it to service/replace them. Nikon won't repair/replace a lens for example unless you ship it in for service in the factory packaging. Buddy found that out and had to buy a replacement used box...

Sorry about your building cost woes. Wife and I are planning to move and possibly build soon and we've had similar issues, but at an order of magnitude less. My best man used to do construction and they had a couple of builder/GCs they worked with that struggled with this in high cost areas back...
