Stumbled on this brand new Tekton 1/2" bit set on marketplace last night. I wasn't looking for such a set but was glad to get it at $50CAD, retail is $200CAD and it will fill a void in my tool box, my hex sets only go up to 10mm except for a couple that I've made when I need them in a pinch...

    Titanium 1/4" Drive Ratchet 2.0

It means a pass from me but I’m far more particular than most about selector direction. I hope you sell lots of these and continue to produce innovative(and very nice) tools!

    Titanium 1/4" Drive Ratchet 2.0

Very cool and great to see a product hit the market. Is the "on-off" selector direction in line with Snap-On or Koken?

I've tried a few electric screw drivers over the years, didn't care for them. This one seems ok. I thought the orange handled Vessels were flat bladed screw driver but turns out they are like a chisel tip? Kinda weird, I guess I'll use the as pry bars..

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

They are indeed the same other than the handle. Different use cases for the different handles. Like I mentioned earlier I don't like the soft comfort grips, I prefer the hard handles, however they don't offer hard handles with QR so I buy the comfort grip and swap on a hard handle. The one...

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

A lot of it is just personal preference but most of it is the fact that I'm the opposite, I don't like having the head locked and when unlocked it just flops around with zero resistance. It doesn't have QD and I hate how chewed up comfort grips get. I dislike how wide the head is and the locking...

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

I’ve used them a couple times already, they are indeed great. I’ve had the larger version(the “47”s) for about a year and they have become my most used pliers. These are the smaller “46” version.

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

Snap-On man let me know some of my order was in which included the 1/2" Extra Long Handle Flex Head with quick release. Should be the last 1/2" ratchet I need to buy.

Been hitting ebay for some Snap-on ratchets

Looks great! I’m a big fan of the SO hard handles although I do agree they are a bit on the small side. I like QR which they don’t make in a hard handle so I get the comfort grips and then modify a SO screwdriver handle (which are a bit bigger) to fit. Makes for the “perfect ratchet” IMO

Your using a steel wool pad and flitz?

Locking flex head ratcheting wrenches vs fixed head ratcheting wrenches

I have both locking and non-locking versions. I greatly prefer the non-locking. The locking ones are super floppy when not locked and I often bump them from locked to un-locked. It’s very rare that the lock is actually a advantage. If I lost my set of locking flex heads I wouldn’t replace them...

I’m far from a Koken fan boy, In fact I think they are a little overrated on here also but in my opinion the Tekton ratchets I have/had are not anywhere near as nice as Koken. I’ve never handled a Capri so I can’t comment on that comparison.

I've been using that set for a couple years now. The swivels are a gods send.

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

Ya I figured I might as well just get the extra long version. I already have a non flex head SK 1/2” in a standard length. As I get older I find the extra leverage of the longer ratchets more useful.

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

LOL, they are pricey for sure but I've learned with tools I never regret the money spent on quality tools and I know from experience Snap-On ratchets are quality. I'm also in the process of going through all my ratchets and decided to sell the ones I don't like since I never use them anyways...

Help me pick a new 1/2 flex head ratchet

Thank you everyone for contributing to this thread. I decided not to compromise and just order a new Snap-On SRLF80A. Thats the " Extra Long Handle Flex Head with Quick Release, chrome handle". The QR versions don't show up on ebay often and I'm fairly picky about condition so this seemed like...

I only have experience with the Hozan 221’s and only use them for motorcycle master links but I can say they work great for that task and the is quality is great. Seem like a bargain for the price.
