Above 1200 Sq/FT The Komala Kustoms 40'x60'x14' Shop Build

I ended up having gravel put in the side where I eventually would like to have a lean to put in. Then made the decision, since they did such a stellar job on the building, just having the guys build on the compressor room which ended up being 8'x8' with a 4' service door leading to the inside...

It's really not as terrible now that I've looked at it more and more. I could live with it and it could be "good enough" but I try not to have the good enough mentality. I have a lot invested into this so I would like it to look as good as I can afford to make it.

At this point, the contractors are done and building is paid for. Things will be moving forward slower since I will be doing most of the work myself. I'll dump...

    Tips for Concrete Pour day?

I would agree with NBN. I hope you would trust the contractor you hired for the job. If not, he probably isn't the best candidate for the job. Hire someone you trust with experience. I cant thank my contractor enough for the work he and his guys put in. AS hard as it was for me to sit back and...

    1st 18 months of ownership.

I love this! And I couldn't agree with you more. Thats why I pulled the trigger this year. It'll be a little bit before I am completed, but it will be my space and I got to build it for mine and my family's desire. Just as you have, I have been on here lurking for several years saying the same...

dang...CO sounds silly. Luckily they only require me to have 1 GFCI, 1 light inside, 1 light by entry door, and a few pieces of conduit. And obviously the correct wiring. But its minimal. Shouldn't be too bad. However I am doing it myself including running the wire from the pole so it should be...

Wow I love the theme! And the hot rods! Now that youve had the epoxy floors for about 8 months now, how are they holding up and how are you liking them?

Thanks TurboMustang370! I'm happy with it so far. I would like to put a lean to on the other side eventually when I save up some more money for the trailer and misc covered parking/storage.

Nice place its gonna be! I like the design and layout. Wish i was able to put in plumbing in my shop. Inspections are always stressful. Cant wait to get my electrical and framing inspection out of the way! Looking forward to its completion!

That's awesome to hear. I appreciate the feedback especially from someone who actually has this type of heat. I think this may be the way to go for me as well. Every shop I've worked in has had forced air unit heaters as well so I know exactly what you mean. Now I just need to figure out what...

Thanks for checking it out. I was actually looking at the radiant tube for mine going down the center as you say yours is. Unfortunately I dont have natural gas and would have to get propane. Would you do it again if you had to get propane? Just wondering how much it would use if it would be...

    New member...new garage

Coming alone nicely! I like the mezzanine style. if I could go back again with mine, I would have went 16' tall instead of 14' tall just for the face that I could build a mezzanine/loft and be able to stand up on it without bumping my head. Cant wait to see it all finished.

Trim is finished up. 6" of concrete will be poured on the inside on Thursday. Then garage doors after concrete. At that point, the building will be able to be locked. Then in the next couple weeks, weather permitting, I will be trenching and running the electric wire from the pole to the...
