    well 2 1/2 hrs. later and 6 cutoff wheels turned to dust i got the top trimmed off , now need to tap some 5/8 holes to bolt down , im ditching the swivel so i'll ad a bolt to the rear , then , trim about 1/2 " off the front of the 3/4" round plate for work clearance , then , weld the plate on...

    yes im restoring , someone sprayed red paint on it so was unable to save orig. paint , i blasted it with my steam cleaner and melted off the paint and 50 yrs. of grunge then a blow dry and went over it with a 4 1/2 angle grinder wire wheel ....... im now working on a pedestal shown in pics...
