    Tools from the old world

Hawk321 Love those miniature Knipex pliers, very nice.:) I have not come across too many BETA ratchets on this or other forums. Why is that? They seem to be of a very high quality and are used by none other than Ferrari! I would love to see pictures of their 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 ratchets.

    Tools from the old world

Okay, so not exactly form the old world, but a good comparison. Here are links to "How is Made" showing Snap-on sockets and wrenches being made. It is interesting to compare them to the Hazet videos. The Snap-on wrenches are bent to achieve the 15 degree curvature on the combination wrenches...

    Tools from the old world

Just saw these videos on youtube about GEDORE. The first one shows the building process, which looks to be of a very high standard. I have never seen the GEDORE tools that come out of the Brasil factory. The stuff made in India is not very good, certainly not up to the standard of the GEDORE...

    Tools from the old world

Monte: I was looking through some old post and saw you had posted a picture of the Gedore torque wrench . As I mentioned before, I am looking for a torque wrench in the 5-20NM and 20-200NM range (give or take). How does it compare to the Stahlwille 730N or the Hazet 629x range...

    Tools from the old world

I went to TheMotoringShop yesterday to pick up some more Hazet tools and saw the Gedore ratchet (1/2"). That is an impressive ratchet, not pretty but all business. You have a very nice set . The Germans sure know how to make tools .

    Tools from the old world

I recently began clearing my garage and organizing it. While doing this, I realized I had a pathetic tool collection (two 3/8” socket sets with no name branding). I completed a timing belt change on my VW Passat and realized life would be easier with the proper tools. I looked at many...

    Tools from the old world

I recently purchased a drill hammer from BOSCH. It was the only non "Made in China" drill I could find. I looked at over 15 different brands and about 6 Makita drills. The display unit for the Makita said "Made in Japan", but all the ones available for sale were "Made in China". I refuse to...

I recently purchased Hazet tools :bounce: and I am now selling all other tool brands/accessories. Up for sale is my 7 drawer rolling cabinet by Snap-on. Model number KRA2407PCM in Royal Blue. The cabinet is like new with very little use. There are three small scratches/marks as seen on the...
