I thought the Manitowoc 6400 up the road from my hometown in Pa was big. They took 2 years to put it together. That thing must walk more than it crawled.

That is a gem. The most I have are 3.5 Collins. I think 4.5 would ware me out. All day chopping.

Oh I know. They used to make hunting coats out of 100% wool. But sure when it got wet it got way to heavy to carry. We were talking to some sheep farmers here at a crafts show, and they are shearing for wool just make socks. I can handle heavy boots a lot better than cold feet.

But my best pic, and I paid for them and dropped them when going to the truck was two pair of 100 % wool sock that I was going to get my wife to knit me a pair. Because I have used them years ago and you will never beat 100 % wool sock. :mad:

I understand your point. But these saws would have never sold for what they looked like when I purchased them. The Keen Kutter was in very bad shape. And the guys selling the Disston thought it just had a hole in the handle. Two handed saw.

I let these different of opinions up to others. I belong to way too many other forums to get involved. :)

That is unusual. What is the weight? I don't think it would take much digging until it shattered. A lot of prying back and forth when digging. Someone will find this D Cooper in time.
