    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

:D I did most of the work, I swear! But those double doors are heavy, so it was easier with an extra set of hands. Plus, she likes to help and I like to have her near me. She smells nice!

    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

That's all I got for now. I hope to get some more done in the garage over Christmas, but I thought I would do that over Thanksgiving and really didn't get much done. Here's to better luck this time! I am working Saturday installing a kitchen, and I know we haven't finished the Christmas...

    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

I did add a little light over the overhang (loft storage like shopnut!) at the front of the garage. And an air hose reel centrally located so it is relatively easy to get to.

    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

Last weekend I spent Sunday getting a little done in my main garage also. It still has a lot of work left to do. I can't wait until the big shed gets built with the wood shop and storage area complete. Then I can move all the wood shop tools out and finish the garage as the mechanical area only...

I also finished the "carport" area ceiling and mounted the posts permanently. (The end was just temporarily braced for the last several months). I was going to use lattice, but at the price that stuff has gotten to be, I am going to fence the side and rear instead.

    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

So I finally did more work on this. I don't know what made me think I would be able to knock out both sheds before winter. I haven't even finished the little one yet. My wife came out and helped me install the doors. I got the double doors and the ramp done, and the smaller door on the side...

    Harbor Freight Black Friday ad

It seems like most of the really good deals at HF have gone away as they have gotten more and more well known. Every once in a while I see a good deal on the ads in the magazines or in the email I get, but most of the time its the same old **** over and over. Plus, now you can not use the 20%...

    Irwin Vise-Grip 2pk $5 @ HD

What I should have said was, they are holding them as part of their Christmas display. He said the team that sets that up should be there in the next week. :lol_hitti You know, it's a cliche now, but I can't believe the Christmas stuff gets set up before Halloween!

    Tuner4life's Mixed Imports Garage

I'm not sure I was ever a fan of the hanging tools method of organization before, but you may have made me a believer! I like the way that looks! How is it in operation? I have a rolling cart, but then I currently do most of the work in the drive, since my garage is a disaster! Maybe once I get...

    Irwin Vise-Grip 2pk $5 @ HD

Just picked up 2 of these from my local HD. "Bob" found them in the back. He theorizes that they are holding them until Christmas and will set them up as part of that. I am going to keep checking and see if I can't catch them with a few more to use as gifts. These 2 sets are going in my tool kits.

Tips for Charlotte, NC Area folks...

Thanks for the suggestion. I had seen Howes when I did some work in Gastonia a couple of years ago, but I have never ventured into the place. Now I know that I was missing a fine opportunity. This is something I must rectify, as my collection of tools has thinned out over the years after I have...

    Mark's Monster Garage....3800 sq ft

Long time lurker, first time poster......as many have said, your place is incredible! And the cars....oh, the cars......huge fan of everything you are doing! My dad still lives down in Vero Beach, and I have family in Orlando and Cocoa. If I find myself headed to FL for more than a day...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Honest Bob's 20X20

There are some good books. Most of the stuff at Lowes/Home Depot would suffice for what you need to do. I would use plastic boxes, new work, since you have exposed framing. I have to do a lot of that also. My garage only has 3 circuits in it, and all the outlets are on the same run. They have...

    Salt Life Hideout

Just realized I had never commented in your thread, although I have lurked here from time to time. Looking good! I really like the floor and the "Shopnut" way of creating storage space in areas that most people don't pay attention to. I really like the cabinet space around the a/c and...

2 Car Detached Remodel. The Subaru Deserves Better!

Personally, I like Tub/Tile adhesive caulk for things like this. Doesn't mold or mildew, and it does a good job of helping hold everything where it belongs. Looking good! I can't wait til I can start on my garage!

Above 1200 Sq/FT The ASYLUM - Happy 40th Birthday to Me! (Est. 2005)

As others have said, I am sorry to hear of your loss, Shopnut. We lost our faithful Sheppard, Princess, a little over a year ago, and we still miss her deeply. I know my buddy Weiser is getting up in age also....I'm sure I won't take that loss easy either. As you said, you did the best thing for...

Above 1200 Sq/FT building my BIG PARTY garage

Just caught up since my last post in June. As has already been said, just incredible! Thank you for sharing. Good luck with the mice. I second the advice against poison though, don't want those things curling up to die in some hard to reach spot. Very unpleasant odor!

    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

Yeah, he was trying to lay on everything. Just not a hard worker anymore. I guess he's getting older, although I don't like to think about it. I am hoping it works out that way, with a spot for everything, and everything in a spot. I have several vehicles also, so trying to work out parking for...

    Foxxtrot's Motley Collection of Projects

Eventually, I also plan to put a small garage up for storage of the boat. In the meantime, I will probably buy one of the "temporary garages" from Harbor Freight up to keep it out of the elements. I store it in the garage mostly, but I have had it out for a few weeks, and I really like not...
