    Bending 1" and 2" EMT

Those "cheater fittings" are for guys who don’t know how to bend conduit and I agree that they are ugly. I have seen a few jobs where they used LB's for all bends and when I ask why, one guy told me because it made pulling the wire easy and this was on a 50’ run of 3/4” emt. I must confess...

    Voltage callout of 200/1/60

I assume you are NOT a fan of comedy……… I look forward to his posts when I need a good laugh.

    Voltage callout of 200/1/60

VERY TRUE ^ ….. I was not going to post a map of Japan showing locations of areas that I could not pronounce. ;) There are maps (on the net) of ALL countries that show transmission voltages so just look up the area and you will see the voltages. BTW! Thanks for being the " Official GJ...

    Bending 1" and 2" EMT

When I first got into the Union as an apprentice I worked with a toothless old guy who knew nothing about electrical circuits but boy could he bend conduit……… He told me on my second day that he was a "Can Do It man" and he taught me a few tricks on how to use a Chicago bender as long as I was...

    Lowes deals/sales/clearance

These are 100% lightweight plastic and great for organizing sewing supplies if you are into needlepoint. "IF" you are storing anything heavier these will not last long.

    Service entrance surge suppression

Short answer is: YES, these work!……… I highly suggest installing one. I have a main panel suppressor along with individual suppressors on each HVAC unit (condensers and air handlers) including my well…….. Overkill? Maybe.

    UV light for mini split

Wouldn’t the UV light degrade the internal plastic and rubber components?……… I know that UV light breaks down the polymer chains in plastics. Ozone has been known to destroy plastics and rubber too. BTW! Mold survives on DARK, DAMP area with NO AIR MOVEMENT so if you take away one of these mold...

High Frequency GFI's…….. Some good information for you contractors.

Just plug it in and see if you get any nuisance tripping……. "IF" it trips a few times just upgrade the GFI to a new HF type and if it does trip just let it go. BTW! Hopefully the "general public" has enough sense to call a licensed electrical contractor instead of trying to a "DIY fix" or...

High Frequency GFI's…….. Some good information for you contractors.

A GFCI is like a "balance beam" scale…….. What it sees (amps) on the hot wire (3.289 amps) it must see on the neutral wire (3.289 amps) otherwise it will trip. Take a wiggy voltage tester and go from hot to ground and it will trip because there will be a imbalance. A knob and tube wiring system...

Here is an article from NJ DCA to code officials about this "new GFI technology"………… Get ready because inspectors are now educated and must enforce this.

High Frequency GFI's…….. Some good information for you contractors.

CORRECT! ^ NOT a "money grab"…….. These are a solution to false tripping that has been a problem with GFI's.
