I bought a orange set about a year ago on a whim. Made in china. I compared them to the set HF is always giving away. The forging/machining was better than the HF set. Not good enough to be a SO knockoff though.

I require a replacement cost security deposit in cash before any tool leaves my sight. Needless to say I don't get many people asking to borrow. My brother is the same way, except he is more of a pimp about it at times.

I gave up on a Sears a couple of years back. Noticed on the shelf multiple packs of SAE and MM offset box wrenches that should have been rejected as soon as they were forged. 12 point wrenches, missing anywhere from 4 to 8 points.....completely flat. A year later while on the road for business...

Seems to be a very active forum. I'm a electro mechanical tech. Light to mid size industrial equipment / machinery. Turning wrenches 22 years. A little longer if I count what I was doing during the summer months while in high school. I've been a road warrior my entire career.
