You have what is probably 410 stainless steel. Yes, it will show rust. You want 304 ss. Never get a #8 polish, which is mirror finish. If you "look at it it will scratch" lol. Get a #3 or #4 finish. That is the "brushed" look you see on a kitchen sink.
