When all else fails I would use the larger, stronger 7/8" anchors. But I totally agree with mcbane - first call the manufacturer and go straight to the horse's mouth.

Some of these chemicals should be spot tested in inconspicuous places in case they do something nasty to your fabric.

What did he use it for, car washes? If so, let it soak in warm water. It all depends on what went through that nozzle that bugged it all up.

As for Stainless Steel, check Amazon for stainless steel countertops and/or shelves. If you can find one, which I have done in the past, place some thick double layer plywood underneath to absorb the rough treatment it will receive.
