    HF Compressed Air Dryer Item#40211

I'm going to bring this back up. I have been looking at dryers and this one keeps getting good reviews. I just bought a Champion 7.5 HP compressor rated at 23.9 CFM...does anyone think it would be OK with this CFM into the HF dryer rated at 21.6? Just such a big disparity in price from this...

New Chamion 7.5 HP air compressor wiring question

Thanks for those that came before me. I just got the same compressor delivered today and was curious why I had a 3 phase contactor...thought they had sent the wrong one also. Saved me tons of research and worry! Thanks to all the electricians that help us with our projects!

    Kansas Camaro Corral

Just read your entire thread! Great job on doing a ton of work! Nice car also...I am restoring a 1965 Chevy C10 LWB Stepside and I wish I had a lift...makes work so much easier and nicer.

    Tuff Shed installed

Thanks! Thank you sir. If you take 6 months of weekends away plus an hourly wage for time working on the shed...it was well over what I paid. To each their own. I took some photos and worked while it was being built. I fortunately work from home so I could "watch" the progress and make...

    Tuff Shed installed

Power starts getting installed today! Met with the electrician last week...he gave me a quote and he is starting today. Glad he is a friends son in law...but still doing everything correctly with permits and inspection. Can't wait to start using it as my shop!

    Tuff Shed installed

Thanks, I only wanted to do it once and didn't have 6+ months to build it myself with 100 trips to HD or Lowes, especially with my truck being restored. I also didn't realize this was someone else's build thread? No need for pictures of someone else's build when a link or PM to his own build...

    Tuff Shed installed

That's why I shouldn't have listed price...no matter what I said, someone would say I built mine cheaper. The base price was $3600...I had about $1200+ in upgrades. When I got pricing to have one stick built, it was over $7k. Prices are different no matter what part of the country we live in...

    Tuff Shed installed

Thanks, and agreed, most people, in general, hear what they want to hear. We did not need a permit for the shed...anything under 200 sq feet doesn't need one. We adhered to the offset regulations for the property lines...4 feet. We will need a permit for the electricity and an inspection. I...

    Tuff Shed installed

Not here...we can have power to sheds. I am having a certified electrician do everything since I know squat about electricity. My wife is the planning, zoning, and codes enforcement director in a neighboring city, so she made sure everything is up to code and getting permits if needed.

    Tuff Shed installed

Thanks, I love it so far...stoked to get power to it so I can start using it. I upgraded to 8' walls, double doors, the transom lights above the doors, 3x3 windows, radiant barrier roof decking, and 6/12 pitch roof. I bought it through Home Depot last month around Memorial Day. They were...

    Tuff Shed installed

I got my 10x12 Tuff Shed installed Monday. It is going to be used for dirty work...ie media blasting, powder coating, a little woodworking, and I am going to build a small paint booth also, etc... I am sure space will run out quickly. i am supposed to meet with the electrician later today for...

HD Tool Department, Terrible Customer Service

Then HD should not have the slogan... "You can do it, we can help!" IMO, part of what is wrong with retail is there is NO customer service anymore period. This is a pet peeve of mine, since I used to be a customer service manager years ago and have owned my own business for almost 20 years...

    Parts Washer Mod question

I am not sure, it has separate in/out on each side, but there are 2 plugs on one side. I figured worst case scenario, I plumb a glass jar on it and use it as a sight glass of what is flowing through/collection jar for debris.

    Parts Washer Mod question

Thanks for the responses...I ask questions to learn. I actually know about pump head loss as I have had saltwater aquariums over 500 gallons and you learn about head loss on pumps quickly when plumbing. The reason I was looking at the dual is I found one locally on CL for $10...and that price...

    Parts Washer Mod question

Thanks...I understand some people do things and some don't. When I read the mods, it made sense to do one...and a HF washer is not the same quality as Safety Kleen. I was asking about the validity of a dual filter vs a single. Not sure if I agree with your internet comment, but that's...

    Parts Washer Mod question

I am about to buy a harbor freight parts washed and have seen most of the mods that people have done...the main one being the filter. I found a dual filter housing on ebay. What are your thoughts...better than a single or worse because the back pressure will hinder the pump more than desired?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

When I got up this morning, my truck looked like this... shortly after 1, my truck looked like this...technically not in my garage, but all the tools were in the garage. :D Going to clean up the engine bay and paint the engine bay then install the new engine and trans!
