No, your eyes are not deceiving you... Framer screwed up. I was clear that I wanted board and batten siding on two visible (to me) sides @ 16" centers. He put plywood siding over the T1-11 to fix error on his dime. It was about a $600 mistake for him. I don't have too much sympathy for him...

This exact thought occurred to me as well. Just thought it would be nice, and if door is being installed and it is easy, why not have it up and out of way? If it's a pita, then no harm no foul with blocking the windows...
